seriously. I leave a room open(Battle, Champ, Player mode...ect) go on Arcade mode, and i cant get through a round against the CPU without a Challenger "entering the ring".

no trouble at all finding matches on PSN.

U sir must return to Jamaica!!!!

Same here, when I practice I use championship mode where I boot up arcade (hardest, max rounds) with option to interrupt me. Can't even finish a cpu off most of the time Rarely get above the 2nd cpu before calling it a day. Player match was my thing in SSFIITr but in this the player match players are either way too good, or a bit bad and quit after 1 match. I like a good beating but playing those insanely good people makes me feel like I'm wasting their time. Championship is pretty good for just playing for fun.

You can't rush him down with some characters, for example Rufus.

FindMyFarms tore the crap out of me with his Rufus (I pick blanka against SF4 chat because they're way too good and I'm more comfortable with blanka from SSFIITr). He just didn't let up on me and did a lot of dive kick combos. I was a deer in headlights not knowing how to stop him.

Blanka has a lot of disadvantages when people know how to play him. All of the balls have low priority and can be attacked with normal attacks. On block they can be punished good, the good thing about blanka is his mobility and speed. His wiff ball is a good dash, with it's fast recovery you can make it into a ranged electric shock, throw, whatever. His ultra is good chip, everyone should know how to block it by now. Being able to hop forward into a ultra can catch people off guard, but playing good people is just tough. Blanka is a book of punishment. Just like you can't play Dhalsim at range, you can't play Blanka how you play Ryu, or Fei Long.

How do people play against El Furte? he's even faster than blanka.

ordered the ssf4 fightpad (the Ryu one) so I can use this instead of my dualshock. Hope I don't regret my purchase...
The coolest thing is about them is that you can buy two for the price of one cheap arcade stick. I find it important to have the same controller when fighting offline with friends.

It made a world of difference for me, but then again I was moving from the standard 360 controller which is terrible for fighters.

What uses does Makotos Fukiage have? I only tinkered with her in arcade mode of 3S, so I'm not hugely familiar with all her stuff. I see it's not really anti-air, so does it have sets up for combos or something else?

You shouldn't be having any issue with dive kicks with upball, ex upball, and electricity. Rufus can't even target combo a crouching Blanka, and s.HP also whiffs on a crouching blanka, forcing the use of c.mk instead.

anti crossup I'm guessing
in 3S i mostly say it used in post-Abare juggles

Yea I might buy another one later on (like the round two edition) but for now, my buddies will be using the dualshock lol

I would imagine lol. I tried to play with it when I went over my friends house to play some ss4 and just couldn't do it. Was not pulling any of fei longs moves....

Oh my. TE stick is going to be a HUGE upgrade for you then. They use a square gate as well in those so you should be used to a TE stick. But the quality and feel. A billion times better. :D

Edit: Just to give you an idea.

HFS3: http://sdtekken.com/tech-area/arcade-sticks/ps3-fs3/

SFIVTE: http://sdtekken.com/tech-area/arcad...fighter-iv-fightstick-tournament-edition-ps3/

You're dealing with going from Hori poo poo parts to full fledged Sanwa.
I just read the funniest review of the TE stick on Amazon, I don't know if the guy is purposefully making these innuendos, but it definitely seems to have a bunch of sexual undertones either that or I'm a perv.:lol

Everyone that touches my stick falls in love with it. Not only is it the perfect size, but it sits firmly between anyone's lap, you can even lay it on the table. Some people may say it's a little too big but you have to get use to the feeling. Once you get use to it you'll know that it is just right. I like the feeling of everyone enjoying how well my stick is. They move it around in their hand and everything just clicks right. It also feels nice when they push the buttons next to my stick. My buttons are smooth and do not need to be pressed too hard to activate, you can gently tap them and the moves will explode on the screen. Best thing about my stick is that it is made with all authentic parts. Nothing is flimsy, nothing falls down, it is nice, sturdy and ready to take a pounding. Many have played with my stick for over 500 hours, and it's still going strong. This is a stick lover's dream come true. I wish everyone could enjoy my stick.

Blanka is probably one of the things in this world I genuinely hate with a passion. FUCK that guy. Seriously.
Hahahaha. I recently picked up Blanka for the sole purpose of annoying people.

The thing with doing up ball to counter is I'd have to be crouching and prepping for it 2 seconds in advance. The way people use rufus' dive kick (very low to the ground and very quick) it's hard to predict, especially if they start comboing after, mixing it up by starting a follow up hit then doing another, then doing something not related to a dive kick. The dive kick just kept me under control pretty much. FMF is darn good and seem to have a punishment for everything. I might have thrown some up balls, and Ex up balls but he was probably on the ground and blocked it giving me an impression of, ok this won't work against FMF (I stopped using rainbow roll because of FMF. Found out how easy it is to punish, even hope blankas I play against use it). As long as the Ruf don't do a predictable high dive kick they could be pretty safe. Especially against people that aren't used to dive kick rushdown (don't try it on DPers, they fear nothing).

I stopped playing Blanka though, need to break away before he's officially patched out of the game.

:( So much Blanka hate.

I thought there would be lots of hate for Balrog.. but Blanka?

I hope they buff Blanka balls, just to annoy you guys even more. TRADE with DPs clean and safe on hit. That would make him S-Tier.

Probably already mentioned 100 times but Justin Wong and others were at PAX playing this in the Console Freeplay room. It was out in the open but kinda kept on the DL for some reason. I guess because it wasn't an official Capcom thing.

:lol edit wow ok I really am super late on this. Just ignore me then.

at least blanka can't ball abel
But abel better get close and stay on blanka with strings and get away. he can't jump in (elec) or roll (elec) either. He has to take careful dashes or wait for BL to whiff.

GOD I love Blanka

If I were sure that people weren't turbo button-ing electricity, I probably wouldn't care as much, but I am willing to bet that over half of online Blankas are cheating motherfuckers.

Can't verify every instance of it obviously, but you can very easily tell when they shake out of a dizzy faster than humanly possible. Happens way too often.

How's that different from any other character?

Somebody post that PC scrub Blanka with 99999999999 or something BP and self proclaimed best in the world or something.

Interesting footage from FADC/Empire.

It's clear that Justin isn't that experienced with the new characters and was relying on his skill to sort of carry him. I'm not sure if it was because the player was inexperienced but he was caught in a weird Kunai dagger trap with Ibuki.

I can't believe the game is gold...and they haven't released it. They should move the release up two weeks. It's not even going to make a real blip on the NPD.

And Blanka is cool. He's all about tricks, mixups. Definitely a change of pace from the Ryukentigers. With the new characters, there's a lil bit of something for everyone's playing style.

Because Blanka has alternative use for it rather than just quick escaping dizzies. I'm mostly being facetious; I see that isn't clear.

No worries :D
How often do you face blanka anyway? I barely ever mirror-match anyone. There's always a steady stream of the shoto trinity popping up in championship mode for me. Really boring stuff.
