I'm pretty sure the shooter is wearing traditional African garb and doing a black power fist in his Facebook profile picture.
The news is going to be all over this.
It's all over. We are forever stuck in a violent degenerate dialogue now.

So she's justifying the killing of 5 police officers because the black community is desperate? What a piece of shit.
they literally already spent 4 hours trying to do it after he was continuing to fire at them and claiming to have bombs. It was either use the robot or try and take him alive and get even more officers killed
I might, MIGHT understand that reasoning if this happened in baton rouge or Ferguson, but by most accounts, Dallas was improving the relationship between its law enforcement and black community. That community didn't seem to be desperate. Seems pretty irresponsible to make that kind of wide brush statement in this situation.

its a very direct way to public safety, you can argue, yes.
and no one is saying they didn't do their jobs and more, but this falls into that 'more' category for me.
"we can't catch this guy, we've been here long enough, lets just blow him up" is something I'd never expect to see in law enforcement tactical options.
Oh I did and like 10 other people shredded him in comments, then I deleted and reported his ass.Wow. I'd have went off on the piece of shit if he had been one of my friends. Just beyond fucked up.

I feel bad for this dude. Part of the protest, exercising his rights. Shooting started and witnesses reported to police that he had something to do with it. Police put out his photo and mistakenly tweet that he's a suspect. Media continues to call him a suspect instead of a person of interest. He was failed by so many people that I'm glad he's okay. His brother was amazing though.

A photog got Jada at LAX Thursday, and asked about the recent police involved shootings of Alton Sterling and Philando Castile. Her reaction was poignant. It's important to note this video was shot before the Dallas news broke in L.A.
OR continue the standoff just like they were doing for several hours. Plenty of situations like this have happened in the past and gone on longer WITH hostages.
I have a problem with them deciding "fuck it" and blowing up the shooter in a stalemate. We are better than that. To me that crossed a line law enforcement shouldn't cross.
The distinction is that the weapon wasn't 'in their wheelhouse'.
They said they had a record low number of Police shootings. They Dallas PD was proud of that.
Guys, read the article please:
I'm not sure if this discussion will even take place but it should. If this person is ex-military and at that age that means alot of what he learned was over in the middle east and how things are handled there. He comes back, maybe with undiagnosed PTSD and sees things happen here and has only seen things handled in certain ways over there for how many years? It's just another issue America has with not taking care of veterans and ex-military coming back from tours of duty properly. Just dropping them back into society and saying "You'll be alright'
They said they had a record low number of Police shootings. They Dallas PD was proud of that.
Not gonna post the pictures here since I don't know if it's actually him, but here's a link.
I'd imagine "DID SOMEBODY CHECK OUR TWITTER FEED?!" Is the last thing they're thinking about. 5 co-workers are dead and they're still working on what they know.
Not an excuse, but let's not presume it's intentional or trying to stir anything. It's a very bad oversight, but they're clearly not the best at social media.
Was this guy from Dallas? I assumed he wasn't. People come from all over for these sorts of events.
I don't want to consider veterans having tactical shoot outs with cops on American soil as an inevitability. That's a horrifying concept.http://www.tmz.com/2016/07/08/jada-pinkett-smith-cop-killings-police-dallas/

NO.
That's definitely an excuse. He shouldn't have been on there in the first damn place.

Don't attach this lone piece of shit to the community. The community was protesting peacefully for change when this idiot put their lives at risk too. She can shut the hell up

Edit: Sorry, just now read the line about this being BEFORE the shooting of the officers.

Godamn the article on yahoo news has over 14k comments and each comment is worse than the other. Wth is wrong with people??
It's clear who is informed in this thread and who isn't. The uninformed think Call of Duty is real life and all you needed to do to get the suspect was throw a flash bang at him.
Not only that, but she's not wrong, desperate communities do desperate things when all hope seems lost.
It has little to do with this Dallas terrorism, as this seems like a calculated and well planned act rather than a desperate outpouring of hopelessness.
You didn't say that at 10:45 last night.
That's my point, it was a guy who showed up at a protest with an AR-15 and apparently "fit" the description so the quickest way to find the guy was that. As it all was going down, it was a question worth asking. That's why it was put up to begin with.
It needs to be fixed immediately, but it wasn't left up for giggles.
It's all over. We are forever stuck in a violent degenerate dialogue now.
Any news that refers to him as Micah X. Johnson is going for the low hanging fruit by trying to evoke Malcolm X. Fuck that news scare tactic.
Yes.Wasn't this already covered? It's AP style for releasing names.

Mythical people? Not really funny. But yeah, I ignore people immediately and stop listen to what they say as soon as they start to stomp and spit on a flag. Why? Because it's fucking stupid and makes you look like an asshole. So yeah, you can lose sympathy when you do stupid things while trying to prove a point.
For some people? Yeah, it was a turning point.

Well. It's a hate crime then, racism.
"fit" the description as in black and legally carrying in an open carry state? I thought you weren't making excuses, and now this guy gets spread all over the media, and his picture is still up as a suspect. It's irresponsible on all levels.
