It's a great promo. The Miz is a great entertainer but a terrible wrestler. Bryan is right.

Bryan's style might have cost him his career but it also is the reason said career exists. He is the guy Kenta kicked so hard it ruptured is cornea. Obviously he would say that (real or fake, it's a comment that makes sense).

And look, I like The Miz but he doesn't even catch the other dudes and is extremely soft in the ring.

I'll never be able to take The Miz seriously. In my eyes he'll always be the guy on Real World: Back to New York who said some ignorant ass shit about Black people.

At least, outside of not catching people, he's not hurting everyone he faces.

When does a worked shoot become real?

This created so many legendary marks you could buy multiple purple engrams.

Miz is pluggin way too much for it being unscripted
Yeah. Like you would think that the writers would know how to craft real dialogue. How many times did he say WWE during that entire thing. If you work for the company you aren't saying the name 30 times. It's a given

Watching it for the first time right now and lol at even considering that it's not a work. Its a work with a believable angle. Basically what all angles should be. It's like 10% shoot at most.

Awesome promo though.

Is it just me or does the acting/ scripting or even set up just seem better on smackdown than raw.

For instance... I watch a ton of wrestling and last night I felt like the aj styles/ dolph ziggler fighting was done much better than anything that Raw had done lately. Just seemed different.

And now this...

It was obviously planned and probably went off script a bit.... but the Miz has always been one of my favs. He is a company man, and while you say he is soft, he is durable. Having your teeth kicked in by Aj by accident and coming back the next night is not soft in my opinion.

The only thing that was odd is that Daniel was talking about his character, and Miz plays that character so why let it bother him... he should be able to distinguish.. and that is why I think it was somewhat scripted.

The real question is if the Miz is a hall of fame.

I mean the Hall of Fame does feature Koko B Ware, Rikishi, The Godfather, and Big Boss Man. I'd say the Miz is easily higher tier than them, so yes totally Hall of Fame bound.

Miz went into a WrestleMania as world champ and walked out world champ. And as Rockandrollclown said, the standards for the WWE Hall of Fame are pretty low when Koko B Ware and Rikishi are in.

There's no gentle to way to say this but I would love to know the age of anyone that even wonders if it's real.

This just goes to show how long it's been since wrestling was good that the first good performance with a microphone in a long while has people wondering if it's real.

I mean geez, he even mentions the number of days he's been IC champion in his promo.

Of course it's a work (despite being a tremendous promo). The more heels in wrestling like Miz, the better. Sure beats Seth Rollins and his no-sell top rope superplex into a falcon arrow followed by a shoulder breaking barrier powerbomb. I love WWE as much as the next guy but the sooner they start pandering to the millions (kids/ casuals) rather than the vocal few (internet smarks) the sooner the ratings will climb out of the toilet. NXT (which I also love) can pander to the hardcore.

Damn, this is great.

To bad The Miz is a boring worker, no one will ever see this on TV, and none of this intensity will cross over to the show.

Was a really good promo by the Miz, you could tell he really meant a lot of what he was saying, doesn't mean he's right, but it made for a really good impassioned heel promo.

I think the wrestling community might be the most hot and cold fan base of all time. Everyone hates Rollins right now because he was partially to blame for Finn's injury and everyone loves the Miz because he delivers a promo that criticizes "unsafe" wrestling styles while defending how he's safe in the ring (see boring). Probably won't take long for fans to remember Miz doesn't like to catch people and is only about a 1/10 as entertaining in the ring as he is on the mic.
