I dont fully understand whats happening in the second picture, the one with the hand pulling on the controller on the right...where is this screen in the middle from looking at the first screen...?

We had a good run vita, time for you to get a new owner

Wow I had 3 wishes for NX

*Premium look - check
*Skyrim on the go - check
*Good screen quality - hmm

If the screen is good I Will definstely turn sides. Just have a vita 64gb now packed with games and planned on picking up ps4 pro but going all in on nx seems tempting

NES-Gameboy-N64-PS2-PS3-PSP-PSV-NX?

They gotta make one of these in NES colors.

Here you go!!

Looks cool, but i wont be in a hurry to get one. I've been burned by promises of the past. I'm still salty of the wii u launch.

To me the most interesting thing about the trailer was how it was 100% marketed at people in the 20-30 age group. No kids in the trailer.

I don't see how its 3DS backwards compatible - no touch screen, cart slot looks different, wildly different CPU.

Looks great, I'll get one and one of those separate controllers so I don't have to keep taking the tablet bits off. Not had a Nintendo home console since the snes or handheld since Ds which was used solely to play soul silver.

My only issue is the tablet with controllers looks pretry damn unweildy. I'd hate to play that on a plane or whatever

And the switch name/branding looks like fan mockup stuff but I guess I'll get used to it

Look for me on the local news, I'll be the guy arrested for trying to burn down a Nintendo exec's house.
I find it interesting that Sony goes with PSVR for more insular gaming experiences, while Nintendo goes for "Lets play together" arguably more than they ever did.

PlayRoom VR.

I'm so disappointed. I'm 38 years old and I have no desire for a handheld console.

Sony and MS and getting to 4K and VR and Nintendo is stuck on barely better than Wii U graphics at 720p because they think people will still buy a handheld on 2017.

I don't get it.
Did you miss the bit where their handheld from the last cycle was factors more successful than their console?

That advert was bloody amazing. Sorry but it was clear and concise to what it does.

Amazing looking console. I am not expecting PS4pro levels of power, but this could be a return to form from Nintendo.

This is my biggest issue with the system right now minus all the unknowns. This doesn't look comfortable or practical to use at all. One player is going to have to use a controller with unlabelled buttons, too.

Not just that, but when you turn the right Joy-con on its side to play as a small controller, the buttons are MIS labled. The A/B button are in the wrong place when you turn it on its side.

Yeah, it's a portable Wii U. Basically what I knew was coming, but didn't want. I game at home, rarely on the go, so I'd have preferred a much more powerful home console for the same price. It seems too large to be really portable anyway. Definitely won't be putting that thing in your pocket.

Still, it's sort of cool. Just not what I wanted.

Need touchscreen confirmation.

Also surprised no word about when we'll hear more. Makes me think it won't be this year. I'm really impressed with what they showed though.

Guys, the button on the controller side on the left of the image. That symbol...doesn't it look like the Rec symbol? Sharing button confirmed?

With NVIDIA confirmed and the architecture of their newest cards, I wouldn't be surprised if it uses Shadowplay to record gameplay. That'd be sick since Shadowplay videos can loook really good.

The more I look at it the more I don't think making it so you can use each side of the controller as it's own controller was worth it.

Look at how small that is and how close the buttons and stick have to be. We will see how that feature is utilized, but I think I would have preferred just having a solid dpad on the controller that comes with the system. The "pro" controller looks okay enough but wouldn't have even needed it.

How the fuck are you supposed to play Skyrim on the go with that thing lol

Thinking more about this, it was a pretty smart move from Nintendo. They unified they portable and living room market into one single product, and that's just a very bold move. I like it.

Now, I'm mainly a PC gamer who still owns a PS4 because of the Japanese games (and mainly because of the Final Fantasy series). If Nintendo and Square Enix announce some sort of deal where games like FFXV, FFVIIRemake or the FFXII Remaster release at the same time than on Sony's console, I'm just selling my PS4.

Such a good move it is from the N.
