What part of the post confused you?

Did you think TLOU had engaging puzzles? Did you think the laughable bloaters was good enemy design? Did you think the most effective strategy to dealing with Clickers was to slowly crouch walk around them engaging?

It also isn't hugely controversial to state that UC4 has serious pacing issues.
I did. What do you have to say to people who do?

Nah, just trying to substitute be edgy to make up for a lack of personality I'd guess.
Lmao holy shit guys I liked the game but goddamn be a little less defensive. Attacking my personality because I didn't love everything about the game comes off as incredibly insecure and immature. Btw for refrench UC4 is on my goty list and I did enjoy TLOU, I just think it's zombie (sorry, infected) sections left a lot to be desired and the "puzzles" were boring filler that either should have been improved Ala Uncharted or scrapped altogether.

I also am freely willing to back up all of my points,I'm not posting drive by shit posts like the game is terrible or anything in an effort to be edgy. After all the praise I was legitimately let down by the first game so I'm hoping the 2nd one is improved. That's all. Chill.

Ok, I am honestly hoping I am not offending anyone, but from the fingers, the face, the concept art, grown up Ellie has a lot of masculine features.

I don't know anything about gender change, but anyone think she is transgender in part II and that's a part of the story building after Left Behind?

They're still not showing Joels face from the front

Yep I noticed that as well. No concept art of him but they showed Ellie art, and during the facial animation presentation it was Ellie with no Joel.

They are purposefully not showing Joel's face at all. Why that is who knows, could be nothing but its interesting.

I'm 99% sure that they were talking about in the first game at that point, but I also don't believe Joel is dead.
He said in the the new game now that he sees her as an equal they had to think about how to show that in how they interact with each other. He mentioned how they did that in the first game as well but their relationship has developed since then.

That it was boring and linear game design. For reference I enjoy stealth games and Mankind Divided is my 3rd favorite game of the year. The difference between Mankind Divided is they actually gave you a lot of options while cruch walking and effective, alternative methods t dealing with nooks as well if you wanted. Obviously it would be silly if you could run in to a clicker-infested area guns blazing but I'm sure they could figure out a way to make it better than what they did in TLOU 1. Also it's telling you only bolded one of my points yet seemingly agree with my others yet I'm still being seen as some drunk, edgy outcast.

Joel is dead.

Ellie is hunting the Fireflies because they killed him (in retaliation for what happened in TLOU).

She's singing because Joel used to sing to her and music was a thing between them.

Quote me on it.

You know, Ellie, you really are The Last of Us.

Definitely possible I missed it, I only remember them bringing up the part at Pittsburgh. They were really light on details about the sequel, they danced around everything other than
Ellie
being the focus.

Did you play the first game?...
A brave, 14 year old girl, Ellie has grown up in this harsh world and it is all she has ever known. She’s an orphan who was raised in a boarding school run by the military within the bounds of the quarantine zone. Naïve and curious about the outside world, she is wise beyond her years and highly capable of taking care of herself and those around her. Obsessed with comic books, CDs, and other pop culture, her knowledge base is filled by the remnants of a world that no longer exists.

Look I'm all for groundbreaking shifts like that, I wish a game did that but for TLOU2 that's a stretch and half.

Who knows... that would be very ahead of its time though. We still have problems with women as MCs in videogames, and now ND goes all out with a transgender one in the sequence of one of the biggest new IPs of last gen?

Have you ever played the Max Payne games and Vanquished, just to name a few?

Max Payne 3, yes. Vanquish, no (just the demo).

Of course you're trying to be edgy, and you got the quotes you wanted.

It's not really telling because people will probably agree the bloaters aren't great but you implied the entire game had bad enemy design. And that the franchise is 'fucking up' things like gunplay and level design when you could have just talked about the ladders, which, again, people probably would have agree with.

But you never wanted that.

If that's true why does Joel have a gun in his hand?

Ellie is already a progressive character if you've played TLOU Left Behind.

The humans are fine, the etirety of the infected sections have terrible enemy design in my opinion yes. And having terrible enemy design for half of the game might as well just be called having terrible enemy design. UC1 only has the god awful swarmy things for 10% of the game yet I still say the game has bad enemy design because that wouldn't have happened in a game with good enemy design.

I never said the franchise was fucking things up like gunplay, I stressed that UC4 was the first uncharted game to have good gunplay,I liked the gunplay in TLOU. I'm talking about how we're going to go from a game with no bullet sponges and a lot of maneuverability to a game with largely bad enemy design and restricted movement.

I also think it's fair to cite pacing as a concern because Uncharted 4's biggest issue is its pacing and that's BECAUSE it borrowed elements from TLOU and more importantly its even more recent DLC.

Think what you want.

They seemed to imply that Ellie hand shaking might mean more than her having just killed someone.

Could be possible withdrawal symptoms? Possible that she has picked up some sort of addiction? Or then again it's also the same arm she has the bite so perhaps something to do with that?
