I don't know how anyone who didn't know of Grievous from the EU could find him acceptable in any way.

I was so hyped for Grievous before ROTS released and now I just skip his scenes.

Had TCW not been cancelled, we would have eventually seen some pretty cool stuff from him on screen. These are panels from the Son of Dathomir comic that was originally going to be a four episode arc in season 6.

Love how R1 goes to such lengths to show the Empire collecting the crystals needed to fuel the Death Star, meanwhile in FA the first order tackles an engineering feat that makes the Death Star look like a toy - yet does all this without getting caught and not a soul in the galaxy finds out until it's too late.

What. A. Joke.

I didn't like Force Awakens that much to begin with but after seeing R1 I am now actively antagonistic towards it. R1 was a decent scifi flick, FA is a cheap cash grab that is utterly and totally creatively bankrupt.

If you look at Star Wars purely as a neo-revival of Flash Gordon + Buck Rogers, which is what Lucas always thought it was supposed to be .... he fits right in.

Of course, culture at large didn't take Star Wars to be that. They thought of it as something more serious in intent, like LOTR or King Arthur in space or whatever.

I feel like that generally speaks for a lot of sci-fi that transitioned from the 20th to the 21st century overall though.

In regards to Grievous, as earlier mentioned earlier, the Genndy ver. could work for the "somewhat leaning serious" tone of the current era of SW. There was more focus on brutality there than the twirly mustache droid we got in ROTS. Although either way, at the end of the day, this is still a character that uses 4 lightsabers at a time and spins them around.

Then again, this dude exists in the new canon sooooo....

She did some funny parodies re: Suicide Squad and TFA a while back

But apart from that, haven't seen any other of her videos because the webcam shtick seems odd to me.

I know who she is, I just have never seen that website before. It looks like a fake Youtube you'd see in a lowbudget movie.

I'm guessing that for the second death star, they built after the first one's blueprints and never really understood how they destroyed the first one.

I liked how they brought back Genevieve O'Reilly to play Mon Mothma considering they cut most of her scenes in III (or all of them? I can't remember). She was good.

the character appeared in episode 6, 3 and now R1.
what did she do between R1 and Jedi?

am I missing something here, or did the give us a reason?

Probably too much data to send in a hologram .

Should have put it on a Dropbox or OneDrive though so you don't need to manually retrieve them from a planet .

The empire really needed some good cloud based storage .

Be the head of the Rebel Alliance.

shouldn't we have seen her in ANH and ESB then?

I assumed he couldn't just waltz in to the archives and walk out with them? Plus wasn't he just transmitting a hologram of himself speaking?

the head architect of that thing can't do that?
would have though he has those plans somewhere in his personal files anyway.

and what is a hologram?
it's a file on some storage divice isn't it? you put it in something that plays it, like a rom-disk in a disk-drive.
so why not put a second file on there with the blueprints?

What I enjoyed most about Rogue One was watching a Star Wars film that wasn't made through the filter of nostalgia and trying to recreate the feel of ANH. Rogue One has its own callbacks but its style and tone are just unique enough to make me think: "So that's what Star Wars can be like in the hands of different directors." It makes me more excited for future "A Star Wars Story" films.

Maybe she had to attend meetings.

The plot demanded otherwise.

I assumed he did all of his work with the empire and he never actually had access to the info outside of work for security reasons. So all he could do was hope there would eventually be an opportunity to exploit the weakness.

Rogue One's Senator Palmo is from a KOTOR Planet ( Taris ), I think it's pretty cool that some of the old EU still manage to find its way in the new one.

During the first meeting of Gerrera and Bodhi, there was the part were Gerrera took a hit from his breathing apparatus and the noise it made reminded me of Vader's distinctive breathing and we got a shot of Bodhi where he looked terrified, I was sure it was just from being in the situation, but did make me wonder if he'd ever encountered Vader and the noise, reminded him of that.

Plus i loved the movie.

I honestly thought that it was some alien clone pretending to be the dude and he would shapeshift.

From one extreme to the other.

How can you take TFA seriously ?

The whole concept behind Dark Vador was he became a dark knight because he did not want to lose Padme after losing his mother. Pretty intense. Many men would do anything for their love.

in TFA, we learn that to become a Sith you only need an adolescent crisis and be pissed about your parents.

1) Kylo Renn is no Sith
2) The movie didnt spelled out why Kylo went to the Darkside. Just that Han and Leia lost him.
3) Yes.
