I'd just play blind and play it how you feel it. You'll learn all of this in time.

If it bothers you though, here's the low down on items:
There is no vendor trash. Every single item has a use.

However in the early game rupees are far more valuable than items so don't be afraid to sell tons of stuff. It's plentiful. Keep a few of each item if you can for the future.

The exception is anything marked 'Ancient X'. You'll want to hold onto these. And the ores are what you should sell as they are very valuable and you don't get a chance to use them for a long, long time depending on where you end up going. Ores are nowhere near as rare as you might think.

Buying a new set of kit from the ores you sell can help hugely in the early game.

EDIT: Also don't be afraid to spend rupees on arrows. You always want to have at least 10 arrows or so on you, they're tremendously helpful and when you get caught without them it's a real pain in the ass. Very hard to find in the wild, too.

Just read the first sentence. That's enough. :P
Thanks though.

Btw: any way to see how long I played?

Weird question but any idea on the charge level out of the box? I want to get home from the midnight launch and play until its work time.

The day has finally come... <3

Yes it has sis!

Now let's dance and celebrate talent!

Thank-you non-NeoGfy users for pointing out that the gifs didn't loop! Everything should be foxed now :)

Okay NOW I'm going to bed...
Man I wish I could fall asleep. Probably going to avoid the OT for a while though after I get my hands on.

OT really should've went with "98 all over again" suggested in the review thread.

We up in this bitch. BestBuy shipped mine so I should have my Switch by tomorrow after work.

Without spoilering, do we know yet where BOTW falls on the Zelda timeline?

And, Is there any way to upgrade Wolf Link that anyone has found yet? Im about to go do the trial thing in TPHD and I know to get to 20 hearts but...can you upgrade it in BOTW at all?

Re framerate - I've played a few hours patched and had 2-3 very minor FPS drops.

Seems super rare. I spent quite a while in the Great Plateau where it's meant to be the worst.

Now key art is all good and everything but is there a snow environ in this????

Uh. Every environment you can think of. It's a huge game.

So I have no intention of playing this game (no wii u or switch), but im somewhat intrigued by the story. Is there a synopsis/summary that I can read somewhere?

Ever since I beat Twilight Princess I have been waiting for a game like this from Nintendo. This is the next step I wanted the franchise to take and it looks like the developers have taken it even further than I could have imagined. I can't wait to start my adventure tomorrow!

I've spent this entire precursor in media blackout mode, avoided interviews, trailers, everything, didn't even plan on purchasing it until this winter with the last DLC but.... On par or at least rivaling LttP and Ocarina? Difficulty segments and enemies reminiscent of a few other series I happen to love in the JRPG realm? That shit I gotta see fucking NOW.

yes

Thanks guys, one more question. I'm borrowing the Wii U from a friend. Can I create a separate account on the machine to buy and DL the game? He should be able to play it if I do so, correct?

Good question.
Our Wii U have main account who buy games then other account on console can play them.
I don't know if you can have 2 accounts who buy games tho

Amazing OP. However, it is omitting the fact that you can use the Wolf Link Amiibo, which hunts for food and can attack enemies!
