This Zelda is a little particular:
- Forced double buffered vsync.
- Logic not tied to framerate.
- Menu runs at 60fps.
So maybe the game is able to run at 60fps with enough power, depending on whether it is deliberately capped during gameplay.
I suspect the progress is so good because the developer is getting a decent "salary" out of it based on that patreon page. Although I think I heard there were maybe a couple developers? Pretty not bad way to go about it. Doing good work!
Fishing by just walking underwater seems very convenient.Breath of the Wild, Cemu 1.7.3

Of course not, that would be stupid.
You only theoretically need a console if the emulator needs a BIOS file or NAND copy, as the only way to legally get one is dumping it from your own console.

My i5-6600k and 970 still good for wii u emulation?
Yep but overclock that 6600K for maximum performance.

fuuuuuuuck, like in 8 months this game is going to be playable on PC
I think people tend to overestimate the specs needed to run this. I tried out Mario Kart 8 (since that seems like one of the more compatible titles) on my 7700HQ GTX 1050 XPS 15 laptop. I undervolted it by -130mV to reduce thermal throttling, and even then at 1080p it generally hits 60fps, with drops to 55-57 fps now and then, I could play through a full course just fine. I removed the undervolt and played at 4K for the shits and giggles and it got 45-55 fps, though the temperatures hit 87C.
GPU or CPU? If GPU do they now support modifying voltage without VBIOS mods?I undervolted it by -130mV to reduce thermal throttling

The faster the better. I don't think there's a "minimum" though, you can just try it on what you have and see what happens.
What is the minimum CPU wise before anyone should try running this?

Well, I can't run it because I only have a 3 year old Macbook Pro without Windows installed. Kind of curious though if I ever should decide to get a new PC.
Is this the same speed the switch version plays at? It seems really slow
Glad to see progress already being made on BOTW...curious if anyone here knows how to transfer Wii U saves for use in CEMU, playing it now and would hate to have to start over once it gets to a playable state on the emu.
Just wait for someone to build it and then transfer it to your machine. Unlike Dolphin the cache can be shared between updates and computers.Biggest problem will be the shader cache as always.
Excellent, thanks!
edit: Uh not sure if that told me much, where is that folder coming from in the video? There's zero steps in there other than one drag and drop operation lol. How do I get the saves off the Wii U and onto the PC?
You'll want this homebrew to dump your game saves

Ok I have a question.
Apparently Breath of the Wild requires the Gamepad in some instances for motion control. How would CEMU handle that?
