The Gerudo dungeon is pretty damn amazing. Again and again this game redefines what I consider "Zelda" but damn if it isn't Zelda. Everything feels SO RIGHT even though it's so different. Give me moreeeeeeeeeeeee.

I was going to do the Goron one next but the way people have been talking about the Gerudo and their dungeon have me rethinking my decision.

Ugh, why is this game so good?

It's the best one. I wish they went ahead and made the Devine beast longer and harder.

The gerudo one is amazing though. And I can't help but think I did something the long way when a simple solution was present.

Yeah, or you can actually hold a Great Flamesword (or torch) and it keeps you warm. A Flamesword will actually melt the ice if you just stand next to it haha.

Spoiler for where to find cold gear:
the Rito village in the Mid West or buy a Cold Head Accessory from the Gerudo in the South West after completing their divine. Warm doublet from discovering the cooking recipe and getting it from the old man on the Plateau.
Sweet thanks, I'll try them out since I'm a cheapass.

where can I go to get a good one handed sword?
all I've got is two handed swords and they suuuuck for thunderblight ganon
I ran around looking for one on the field for like 20 minutes but can't find anything good

You're teasing me with all this Gerudo dungeon talk lol. I almost did it the first time I saw it but just went ahead the town and did more side stuff lol.

Glided into
Akkala tower base
from a random peak I found all the way back in Lanayru. Then snuck up top. Man, what an awesome game.

I need to remember to hit all these cool spots I find later. I'm trying to fill out my map a little first.

Well the "Mirro Shaz" shrine is fuck-off annoying.

Hitting these balls shouldn't fucking drain weapon durability or the chest should just dump out a sledgehammer for you every time because now I'm out.

Memory spoilers

They directly mention Link's father? That's definitely a first...

I feel like this Link has an actual personality despite never speaking. His dialogue options all have a distinct tone to them that makes him seem like an earnest, if not slightly snarky hero. Best Link since Wind Waker IMO.

"See that mountain, you can climb it..."

You know what would be great for especially this game as an update to keep it alive longer after the DLC?

Multiple challenge runs. Basically,
Eventide Island
on a wide-game scale. For example, activate all towers with the game taking your stamina/heart upgrades and food eating ability away. The game is able to be completed and approached in such complete different ways and such a challenge mode would amplify that.

I really wonder what hard mode entails. It could go in so many different directions.

Got my final labryinth gear. Still haven't found a second great fairy, I'm hopeful a second one can upgrade it. Low DEF compared to all the other gear but triple ATK+ wrecks.

One whole day without Zelda is almost over... Just three more until my next play session.
I'm gonna stretch this game as long as possible to have something to look forward to in Fridays.

Is it hyperbolic to say that I never want this game to end, despite having cleared under 10% of the main quest? Currently making my way to Zora's Domain and the road to it is absolutely beautiful. And the music... my lord.

Finally got a chance to play for about half an hour before work this morning. Game is immensely intriguing. Want to explore! Unfortunately will have to wait another 12 hours...

Also, Amiibo functionality;

Oh just fuck you Nintendo locking the retro Link outfits behind toys >:(

How is the enemy variety in the game?
Probably my only big issue with the game. There's only like 6 or 7 enemy types plus variations of them. The game is missing a lot of staple zelda enemies, which is fine in itself, but every area sharing the same enemies is kind of annoying when they could have had environment based enemies(and not just variations based on the environment).
