It seems MS enjoys messing with us. Why wouldn't you communicate nothing coming this week? They know a lot of people are waiting each Tuesdays and Thursdays for the announcements.
Nothing? I was expecting them to double down on BC production to pad out the Game Pass library. I was very wrong...
Because there is nothing official saying it should come every tuesday or thursday.
I get that there is nothing official but when you release for a few months each Tuesdays and Thursdays, I guess we can call it kind of official, no?
It's beginning to feel like the waning back compat support on Xbox 360
An initial flurry that dried up
Well its a pattern wich people made official. But we had many times also nothing coming on tuesday or thursday.
me too, it has been my jam since the last week.Really enjoying playing through AC: Rogue. Fantastic addition to the Xbox One lineup
That's my problem. Each month seems to be one or two big games and then just some stuff no one cares about. Like, who was asking for the stupid movie tie ins to Cars 2 and Meet the Robinsons? We literally just received GTA IV a month ago. I don't think we should be jumping to conclusions.
It'd be nice if more publishers joined in on BC so we wouldn't just have to rely on a few big names from a few publishers.

Id imagine they have a big back compatible announcement at e3, maybe a big dump of games or OG Xbox or something
The fact they need to ask permission to make a game BC really seems like the byproduct of companies making so many remastered editions
That fact also means the publishers are in complete control over the release of their BC games and can play all sorts of games with release dates, remasters, and pre-order bonuses.

Not if you consider how many no show release Tue/Thurs dates we had in February compared to previous months. Also, coincides with the start of the new year.
Too early? let's see if this a trend for March as well.
But for example: Resident evil 4,5,6. I'm not expecting to see those becoming BC because they released those remastered editions. I don't think Capcom will let Msoft make the older versions BC.
Waiting to include it as pre-order bonuses doesn't bother that much. But why not simply make your game available for people to buy now? I mean, you could still have it available as a pre-order bonus later down the road anyways.
I could see it happening.bc titles slowing down because resources were split and re-allocated to the og xbox bc program. needs to have a viable library for the e3 announcement "available tomorrow!".

If they're gonna give us Disney games, at least give us the only one that matters: Split/Second.
Didn't MS say that all the 360 titles they published would be made BC? There's quite a few omissions from that so far. Forefront in my mind is Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved 2. It doesn't help that Geometry Wars 3 is really bad.
I imagine they are just super busy. GDC just happened, PAX is about to kick off, they are about to launch a new game subscription service, prep is being done for E3, and they are preparing to launch a new console. Every team within Xbox is likely busy as hell.If I was a betting man, and assuming something positive is the reason for the lack of releases I'd say they are working on getting the 360 emulator ready for Windows 10. That would make commercial sense more than OG Xbox, waiting for E3, game service or taking a bit longer to get the most requested games working.
I'm not expecting anything for Tuesday and we'll be lucky if we get a bone tossed our way on Thursday.
None of the three 360 games I worked on that were published by MS have made it to BC. Gameroom will never come to BC.
What games did you work on and why would Gameroom not come to BC? Licensing issues?

Am the only that thinks 2 is much worse than 3?
Both don't hold a candle to Evolved though.

Where the hell is that game. I never played on 360 and would definitely buy it if it comes to xbox one either through bc or remaster.
Btw AC Rogue is on sale now this week for $12.

what the fuckNot sure about 2 being worse than 3, but I couldn't agree more that neither are in Retro Evolved#s league. Geo Wars 2 particularly is hilariously overrated imo.
Need some GRAW 1/2. The ones on PC are kinda bleh.
