Got it about 2 weeks ago and have had the multiplayer for around a week. I've put in roughly 15 extra hours since the game went public, it's great to finally find games without having to be on at the same time as other members of the press.

Does the difficulty on Salmon Run ever decrease/reset or can it only ever get harder?

It's dependent on your rank. As you rank up, you get put into more difficult runs. If you're consistently doing poorly at whatever rank you're in, you'll get demoted.

That's why you should use Discord. Until Nintendo catches up with Discord, there's no reason not to prefer it every single time.

But you still can't party up with discord. You can only join a friends lobby. That's ONE friend. And you won't even be on the same team.

Splatnet reminds me a lot of Bungie.net in Halo 3 and Reach. It's pretty great.

It's the same thing as the app used for battlefield on your phone except it has the store stuff whereas battlefield lets you swap around loadouts etc and play a game that lets you earn score and progress

Online matchmaking really is bare-bones. Why can't my friends and I be locked on to the same team in turf war? Why does it have to be random when I join their game?

I mean the stats are pretty cool, sure. I'm sure if it was just marketed as a companion app which did extra stuff I'm sure people wouldn't have an issue.

People have a valid complaint about it being pretty useless for voice chat though, and it's the only way to voice chat (without using a third party app of course). It's just useless for it, and inexcusable in the current day where other consoles have had a good implementation for over a decade.

From what I've read, you can't even queue together in ranked/league mode unless you have a full team.

It's inexcusable and ridiculous, no matter how many clueless people make apologies for Nintendo.

I did like 2 stages of the campaign and jumped straight to online and climbed to lvl 6.

This is a good game.

Depends on the weapon.

With Aerospray there is no reason you shouldn't be hitting 1000+ on the regular.

Went 30-20 in my first fifty matches. I was 12-12 at one point, but when I got the Aerospray, everything started to click again. Haven't touched single player at all and only played a few rounds of Salmon Run... which is up so I should check it out again.

In what world is it OK where a multiplayer game's only way to play with friends is to have to manually invite 7 other people outside of matchmaking? What possible reason, technical or otherwise, could there be for that? The only reason is "Nintendo".

Press X to bring up the map. Press the d-pad direction of teammate you want to travel to. press A(maybe B?) when you are ready to spawn to jump to location.

Yeah, nope. A slow charging, slow shooting weapon that slows you down? It's terrible and has way too many weaknesses for it's advantages.

Like why pick a weapon that gives you one chance to hit your enemy when you have auto fire weapons that just melt you.

And forget about ever surviving a 2v1 fight.

Some modes feel that way, but I find tower control and splatzone to be very back and forth.
