Have an issue with gyro aiming. When I'm laying down in bed playing, it causes my crosshair to be too far up. If I press the button to reset, it only goes down so far, I literally have to sit up to use gyro aiming. Anyone else have this issue?

Thank god, after maining the Octobrush with basic bombs and inkzooka the sub and specials in 2 are horrible. This however is much better.

First game with the Aerospray, we won 51-40, and it was 3 v 4 lmao.

Games like these always make me wonder if the game actually does matchmake based on weapons. I salute you Quad Roller Squad! I was just like you once upon a time!

That's lame. Any team with all 4 of the same weapon are immediately at a disadvantage.

So about an hour into the game my pro controller became very unresponsive. The input test would only register every 5th click on any button, and half the time it thought I was holding that button down. Switched to hardwired mode and it works 100% fine. I also had like 60% battery. Dunno what happened but I hope this isn't permanent...

Tried asking last night, and either folks were too tired to answer or too busy laughing at my idiocy:

On, say, Humpback Pumptrack, how do you get to the enemy base? Once I get across the middle, there seems to be a "lip" of paint resistant surfaces that I can't get past.

Any help is appreciated! Never played the first one, but loving this one so far!

Whoever compared this to Rocket League was on point. Great balance of fun and depth where it seems really difficult to get mad about losing and there's always something for you to improve or learn.

Some maps have a prevention like this in place. If you have the special power that allows you to jet pack in the air, I believe you can get up at least some of the barriers.

Maybe it's just me but the Inkbrush feels like a roller but worse. It's faster when attacking but it's no OHKO and the painting while running seems really ineficient.

it's about manueverability. you'll notice even if individual brushstorokes are weak, the spread is amazing, so you can dodge from point to point very quickly, get behind people or flank and just trash them and then move on

if you have the ink you can ninja across an entire map.

Oh maaaan I played Rainmaker for two hours tonight, absolutely loved it. Been so long since I played it in Splatoon 1. It's interesting how the different stages make it feel like an entirely different game. Makes me quite glad that there are only two in rotation at a time tbh.

Yeah, gravity is a bummer.

But trashing people with the roller is far easier lol. Maybe the roller is easier to kite though. Also the vertical jump splash the roller does has more range than most stuff and does quite the damage. I guess not using up as much ink is a + for flanking but right now i can't see it. Which is a shame because I like it. I just feel really useless when running around holding down ZR because the roller does 3 times the paint in the same amount of time.

I think it's best in non-turf war modes.

Yeah that might be it. I'm lvl 9 right now so I'm getting there. The Aeorspray spam is already getting on my nerves lol.

You can fill the turf with ink once you get a handle on how to use the inkbrush. It's amazing. And you can sneak up on unsuspecting victims and destroy them at close range before they have a chance to react. A good inkbrush player is like a ninja. I personally consider it a much better weapon than a roller. And a lot more fun too.

i just realised i basically hold my breath for the entirety of the last 30 seconds of every match lol

after the bell rings i breath out and all the oxygen rushes to my brain

I thought maybe the horde mode could be done solo but I haven't really checked it out.

It can but I don't think you really want to do that.

Listen to this person. You really don't want to do that.

I'm pretty sure you can play Salmon Run via Lan if you have 3 other friends with Switches

That's not SP content though.

Gotta have the last 30 secs ability for that extra ink. Moar ink, moar adrenaline, moar freshness.

After an night with the motion controls and then a night with analog only, I think I'm officially off the motion controls.

The inability to aim up and down with a stick is just such a dealbreaker. I don't understand why don't at least give you the option for it.

So I just got Splatoon 2 after missing the first game on Wii U.

I'm having a lot of fun with this game. It feels like playing Super Mario Sunshine in reverse.

I really didn't like the gyro controls and switched to analog. Is this game viable to play in analog? Is it worth it learn the gyro controls? I'm only asking because I've had several people tell me to take the time to learn the gyro controls because it pays off. I'm having real trouble with it though. I had to turn it off in BOTW because I got stuck at one of the shrines.
