Had a game where the map screen didn’t load in the players for some reason for about a minute then when it did load in the other team had 2 players

Weird server hiccup or something

What type of position is that 😂

You may not want to know, or you may be into it.

Well, the roller works very well for the normal enemies.

And I dig the random weapons because it's a perfect way to learn other weapons while still enjoying your time.

I'm fine with the random weapons, that's not what we were talking about, it was more about the actual mix of them in today's round.

What will I miss out on sticking to Regular Battle? Not a big fan of Tower Control, especially compared to Turf War.

Try Splat Zones. It's similar to Turf War in that you win by covering an area with ink, except the area is much smaller and continually being contested.

So can I not play ranked mode at all with my wife? Or with friends period? We had 2 Wii U systems and played ranked together all the time in the first game. We got 2 Switches for the same reason, but I don't see any options to play ranked with a friend at all. Hopefully I am just missing it?

League Battle. You have to be at least B- however.

Man, playing Tower on Ranked can be a real pain because you tell a lot of people really don't grasp how to play it very well. It's like...no, guys, we all don't need to be on the Tower at the same time. That is bad, that is a bad thing to do.

You guys want to do the app with voice chat then? Haven't heard back from sushi... Anyone else want in on Salmon Run, only need one more!

Yeah...

This is what hell I'm currently going through. You really have to be a one man machine consistently to get out of C hell.

I got both Rainmaker and Splat Zones to B but Tower Control seems more difficult for some reason...

When you score 27 kills and fired off 9 ults but your team still loses in ranked

because their scores are all 1-3 with 0-1 ult fired and no one is doing the objective

Well that's ridiculous. We don't want to play League Battle. Do you even get exp or money in League Battle? Not to mention neither of us are super good and aren't likely to hit B- anytime soon. Why would they change this from the first game?

If we did play League Battle, do you lose access to it again if you fall below B-?

Wow, there are some truly terrible players on Ranked Mode, can't wait until I get out of the C ranks (if I ever make it that far).

I was playing Rainmaker before and someone from our team started carrying it towards our own side. As in, the totally wrong direction. They got splatted, and the Rainmaker was right next to the other team's goal, they picked it up and won.

And so many people super jumping right into the middle of the action, and getting instantly splatted, instead of taking the extra five seconds to swim.

Well, he has a point.

Someone (RedFyn?) posted a really good perspective on Turf War already, but I'll try and paraphrase: you don't need to control 50.1% percent of the stage to win Turf War, you need to control 50.1% of the ink on the stage.

There are plenty of strategies to do this, but hanging back and painting your side is not one of them. Ideally, your leaving your side unpainted outside of lanes give your team a safe way to build meter if they can't safely get back to the fight via super jump or an unchallenged lane.

Of course there are exceptions - I used to conceed the tower on the Apartments in S1 to ink mobility paths and trap a team in an inkstrike before they turn the corner (worked 60 percent of the time, all the time) - but I'd say 9 times out of 10 get the center, ink smart paths engage from range, and punish base-painters with aggression because a trade is a win - especially when everyone coming back has no choice but to engage without specials.

I read your post and went back to check my record and I'm 30 wins with 20 losses. That record may not seem as bad as I make it seem but it feels like I lose matches more than I win them. Whether I win or loss I'm always in the lead on my team by a few hundred points or more. Anyway, I'm just doing Turf War until I hit level 30 then I'll jump over to rank.

Can't wait to get out of c+ to go to league to play with gaf, seems to be the only way to have my own team that knows what it is doing

The weapon selection in Salmon Run today has led to a string of losses. I'm not sure they should run that mode without at least 2 solid splattershot-type weapons. The heavy machine gun is trash and pairing it with a brush and roller just leads to painful games playing with randoms. There needs to be better ranged options.

Heavy Machine gun is fun. Just have to treat it like a Sniper.

It seems like even the more talented players just rush the tower like madmen and then try to stay on top of it. I really don't get it at all. Okay, its a tad more complicated than SplatZone, I guess, but shit

It looks like you win more than you lose, I'm consistently in first place of my team whether my team wins or loses and my score is much worse than yours: 27W - 23L

I have seen people get les than 100p or drop out mid match cause it seems like we're going
to lose, I can't tell you how many times we have reversed the stakes and Won in the last minute, people just suck.

It's ridiculous to claim that the way to fight a Turf War battle is to ink straight to the middle and try and 'own' it. This works on some maps, but not most, and in fact, many maps are designed specifically so that the entire battle can't be fought in a single middle section.

Yeah, players who hang back right at the start and paint every corner of the base aren't really helping, but the routes entering the base HAVE to be fully painted or the opposing team can just speed through and pin your whole team in. Plus, some players have to sneak forward as far as possible to ink the opponents base, which becomes a massive distraction for respawning members of the opposing team.

Players seem to forget that your ink is a hazard for the opposing team, and you can easily take out an entire other team if they're trying to ink a line through your territory, as they're restricted to their narrow ink lines, and one foot on your ink will slow them down greatly. If you work the map properly you can split up the opposing team and subtly surround them.

Also, there are a lot of Turf War players who think they're incredible because they have a high ink score and they splat a lot of the opposing team, but those ink scores come from just engaging in pointless fighting in the middle of the map, which barely progresses the actual battle at all.

You can make a point without resorting to speech like that.

I wasn't saying he was right in the way he directed his speech at another poster, I just meant that he had a point in a more general sense.

Reached B- in tower control! :D
If anyone is interested in playing league battles with me, let me know. I use aerospray currently and my friend code is SW-1673-2405-8707

Yeah ditto.

I've gotten those out of C rank but I'm just doing TC now. Currently at C+ and *sigh*.

There's a spot on Musselforge Fitness that is way too easy to perch on and dominate the middle of the map. I found it by chance and basically kept doing a 360 with the Aerospray and nobody could hit me from the ground or even reach the middle platform. My team won by something ridiculous like 80/20.

Don't count out aggressive tower play.

If nobody gets on the tower, it never moves forward.

If you keep daisy chaining onto the tower, a lot of times you can break through the other team.

In fact my biggest frustration in that mode is nobody gets on the fucking tower. Just get on the god damn tower.
