Apparently there's a glitch out there that lets you farm unlimited food truck tickets. Saw someone on squidverse explain it in a small comic
Thanks for this.

It is amazing :OAnyone use the Rapid Blaster? Thoughts?
Split screen is a big trade off, the Switch isn't powerful enough to make it a similar experience. I can see, why Nintendo didn't want to give them the headache to implement it.No split screen, no bots. That's some half assed shit if you ask me. I love the SP campaign but it's short.
Again it's just an extra mode and most people will not play it. Which could mean, that you will waste time in the lobby waiting for other people to join. By making fixed times, limit the mode and give away prices, more people play it at those times. It's a smart way to get people play a extra mode and not have a bad experience by long waiting times.
Wanna know how to fix this? Make it possible to leave the lobby instead of being stuck unless you close the game or wait forever for it to time out.Again it's just an extra mode and most people will not play it. I would find it much better, if Nintendo would include an option to open public rooms. So that people can create their own fun (changing maps and rules) and keep the comparative mode as predictable and limit as they need to be.Map knowledge is important in every shooter but I don't know of any other shooters that restrict the map pool like the Splatoon series does.
Maybe some people are fine with it but I find playing the same 2 maps over and over again pretty boring. It gets especially bad when you play the same maps 3 or 4 times in a row, which I've had happen to me several times already.

Tomorrow, 7am to 7am. Looking at the schedule it looks like it's on every other day and all weekend, at least initially. I'm guessing they're limiting it to keep interest up in it or something. If it's always there maybe people will get bored of it.

I think Arowana Mall and Walleye Warehouse came later. I remember that was the moment when the discourse changed and people started realizing how terrifying chargers could be. Suddenly everyone started using them, specially in AM.Actually the first Splatoon released with five stages originally:
- Arowana Mall
- Blackbelly Skatepark
- Saltspray Rig
- Urchin Underpass (now a Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Battle stage)
- Walleye Warehouse
Had no problem with it this weekend because it was basically available all day saturday and sunday but it stings even more since you have to stick with it a bit to get prizes.I didn't think I'd be bothered about Salmon Run being time limited but I absolutely love it and its a bummer that I can't just always play it.

All you're points are much worse in comparison to just have fixed times. People don't need to wait, they can include an extra mode, which doesn't die off right away, and they don't need to save it after its died off. Then fucking let me wait in the queue for 20 minutes if I want to wait for it, or don't even put it in the game if you don't expect or want people to play it in the first place. Or hey, maybe at least wait until interest does die down before trying to stagger your content like that.
And i know, if people run out of arguments, they just try to position them as superior to undermine the other party. I would love, those kind of attacks would be bannable on NeoGaf.I know some nintendo fans will defend anything, but this is some incredible levels of denial of how incredibly stupid this decision is.
Yes and like i said many side-modes just died off, since people were waiting too long to find enough players. It makes sense to limit the mode, so that players find enough players.Have you played any other shooter on any other system?
This doesn't change anything. You still have an extrem unpopulated mode all the time, instead of an highly populated mode a few times.Wanna know how to fix this? Make it possible to leave the lobby instead of being stuck unless you close the game or wait forever for it to time out.
So that you have people to play with. Salmon Run isn't the main multiplayer mode, so most people will not play it. But if you only make it available at some specific times, the chance of getting enough players, is much higher.
I know other popular games, were some modes were wastelands, since they weren't the popular ones. Making those limitation is great to keep the whole game alive and make many players happy.
It is amazing :O
The Rapid Blaster main weapon itself deals 85 damage if you hit an enemy directly with the explosive shot, otherwise deals 35 damage in an area around the explosion as long as it doesn't come in contact with map geometry. The explosive shot can travel a fairly long distance they shoot out fast (for a Blaster). Great for both defense and pressure. I'm seriously quite happy with Rapid Blasters in Splatoon 2 over what they were like in Splatoon 1.
Ink Mines stay hidden in ink and explode on enemies that come near, or if it gets covered in enemy ink. Upon exploding (which is actually pretty fast now) it deals 35 damage and tags any enemies it hits within the blast radius. And you can have 2 of them down at a time. But really what's amazing about Ink Mines is all the extra information they give. You get little speech bubbles on your screen to show where your Ink Mines are and they pop up with a little crossed out Ink Mine in a speech bubble when they explode. Incredibly useful for deterring would be flankers and invaders, and for keeping track of the field beyond your direct vision.
Splat Bomb Launcher is pretty awesome, I don't know how much of an explanation it needs.
Just curious, what's the HP of inklings?
I like the Rapid Blaster but I suck at aiming it.

It's short sighted, reacting to a appreciable problem only after it becomes a problem. Also "2 years" is pretty much just a guess. It could also happen in two weeks. Who knows. Better be save then sorry."You cant Play the Mode whenever you want so that you always find Games whenever you want to play!"
This Argument doesnt make any Sense, especially this close to Launch. Maybe, maaaaybe after 2 years, when the Servers get emptier? And even then it would be shitty to take the choice away from the consumer.
I have no clue how the top for Splatzone is made. I just had a game with 15 kills and 5 times using the curling bomb special, each time taking the zone back and I was last in my team although I practically turned around the situation in this game.
If it is anything like the first game, your position on the scoreboard in any Ranked Mode is based on your recent win percentage (last 10 games in splatoon 1), not on your Kill /special performance. You being lowest on the scoreboard means that you have the lowest win percentage on your team.
They implemented this change partway through Splatoon 1's life to better emphasise consistency in performance over kill/death performances per game.
But consistency has no relevance when the teams are continuously randomised. So I'm penalised for getting poor teams beyond those games too. Nice.

This game is pretty addicting. My major frustration so far with turf war is everyone focusing on killing each other instead of getting that ink out.
To paraphrase a famous quote: the better you get, the luckier you get
Those who say the Aerospray MG is bad at ranked is fucking kidding themselves a team of 3 Aerosprays can curling bomb spam a splat zone endlessly and there's no EMP or anything to stop this bollocks the matchmaker hits you with
Guys, do abilities stack?
Also, what exactly is the freshness bonus?

Those really need to learn this ain't team deathmatch and start inkin some turf. Lost most of my games due to this issue

Man, I just found out that since Salmon run only runs from 8AM - 8PM in my timezone that means I can't play it before I go to work and I'll only get about a 2.5 - 3 hr window to play when I get home.
On top of that since it runs every other day I'll only get 1 weekend day to play it.
I love the game but this time limit is really silly.
I hope they change it in the future. They won't
There's a balance, though. I mean, I don't go looking for kills but I see a lot of people advising disengaging from firefights to focus elsewhere and I'm not sure I agree; it's important to hold territory. Also, I do sometimes start scouting for kills in the last third of a match if we're defending a lead, since that respawn time becomes increasingly critical.
Walleye Warehouse was at launch.
Nah, they were definitely all in at launch. Port Mackerel was the first new map, followed by Kelp Dome.
This article has all the maps along with their launch dates.
I was wrong then, it was Port Mackerel where chargers became apparently useful for Turf Wars with those long corridors and when a lot of people started using them for the other maps. I remember people saying it was "Nintendo's gift to chargers".Port Mackerel was the first DLC stage. This information can easily be found online.

If 3 aeosprayers can get off their specials in one go consistently it's your fault for not killing them before they built it up.
Don't think too much of it right now and just focus on playing the game instead of blaming your team, even if it IS their fault. The only variable you can control is yourself; if people want to use your scoreboard position of all things to judge you, that's on them, not you. Focus on what you can do and forget the rest.
