GAF always amazes me because people on here seem to always have the worst experiences with everything. I've only had a single match with a person drop, never had any connection issues aside from during the first Testfire, and haven't encountered any AFKers. You guys are magnets for issues

I would say every second match has an afk person in it which basically decides the winner right there.

I had one more question. Does every piece of gear get 3 more abilities on their own? I noticed my hat was gaining experience, but I don't see it on my other gear.

Now I'm mad. What kind of hours are 11pm to 11am for Salmon Run!? That's fucked up. So basically I get a few minutes and my daughter can't do it at all.

This is just so stupid. I don't think I've been this mad at a game in a long time.

They all *can* get three extra abilities by crafting with items we'll get from participating in Splatfest. As it is, you can only grind for ability slots that appear as "?" on the status screen.

Not sure what you're asking. Each piece of gear's ability count is limited by the amount of question mark slots on it, if that's what you mean.

You can add a slot to an item if you get a Super Sea Snail in a Splatfest, but even then it's not usually worth the expansion unless you REALLY like the main ability.

This salmon run is killing me! I'm a noob used to 10% pay grade and all I'm getting are 120% pay grade matches! Keep dying on round 2

I am starting to hate my team in Rainmaker. They don't do anything. If I am MVP or even second, there's something really wrong.

Had no idea you could do a 2 man run. Nor did I think it'd count. Lowered me to 195%... Should've taken that more seriously. But can you even win with 2?

That definitely seems to be the hardest mode to carry in. I just finished a game where I got 31 kills, with the second highest being 14. We just barely won.

The problem, at least for me, seems to be that nobody knows how to use the Rainmaker. They'll usually pick it up and rush directly into the enemy base by themselves and die.

Ah, the first run of the day!

How are you supposed to get enough eggs during the stage where Goldie's come out of gutters? Even if I shoot at the light they don't come out quick enough for us to meet the quota.

What should you do instead?

Get to a good position. Hold good position. Establish control. Fill in base piecemeal on subsequent spawns -- usually with the intent to get a Special for re-entering the battlefield with.

Painting base thoroughly on spawn means no "free ground" to farm up a (possibly a game-shifting) Super when you die. Also, you give up all the good ground when you hang back for so long.

Your base should never be totally blank by the end of the round, but you really do put yourself at a disadvantage by spending time on it at the start.

How do you guys know what percentage the difficulty is for your games of Salmon Run?

I'm trying to figure this out too.

Seems like you can only find out how difficult your Salmon Run round was after it's over? Maybe they don't want people to quit up front or something?

Also, I'm playing 120% salmon run rounds right now but I'm definitely not high enough level to be ready to play this. I'm still a "part timer".

Is this just because the matchmaking pool is too small now, so there's no one low enough level for me to get easier rounds for now?
