I have a short list of other things (backing out of a lobby, etc), but I think my irritation with the cutscene is that the game is so addicting that I am itching for a fix to get back in it, and it crushes me that I need to watch these asinine, waifu-squid duo drone on...justlemmeinman!
unluckely salmon run doesn't seem to count to the 50 last matches.
That sucks.

Nintendo seems 100% committed to making this feel like an events based game...overall I like it but not sure how I feel keeping a stage just in splatfests.
Okay today I decided to change my playstyle and went for octobrush on Rainmaker... I went from C- to B- after several rounds.
Octobrush is good, I've finally seen the light.
Also I've been slowly learning how to control the turf in Ranked. Booya is it hard to think of strategies on the fly as you're surrounded with enemy ink or you see both teams on one side on the map and you make a stealth route on the other side. So so good, I never had I play session where I thought this hard.
On another note...
Team Mayo reporting for duty!

Don't like the precision and rate of fire. I've also hardly used Dualies so I always forget to dodge/roll.

It's a special called the curling bomb launcher. Try swimming around them towards the person, you can touch the bombs and they won't explode.

It's a shirt-only ability that causes your main weapon non-splash hits to light up enemies behind cover. Tag the enemy with some damage from your main weapon, then even if you don't finish the target off, they'll show up for you no matter where they are, for a limited amount of time (or until they're splatted). This is similar to the light up effect that the sting ray gets while not firing.
I'm pretty sure the enemy won't light up for other players, so this is a slightly weaker point sensor effect (that you can trigger more often). I also hear that submerging in ink will also hide your presence, though I haven't tested this myself.

I had one round where a teammate was carrying a last egg on first wave and the rest of us were closer to the egg basket so it felt like we were inking out the red carpet for them and they were carrying a torch to the destination. I love some of the situations that pop up in salmon run

I bought the amiibo.
You know, there's something about Splatoon 2's style and appearance that I enjoy a lot more than Splatoon 1's. Especially with the Inklings. I love how both the Boy and Girl look, both in-game and in amiibo form, compared to Splatoon 1's default boy and girl.

Yeah at first I always used to panick when I saw them but once I got used to them I could actually usually kill the other guy by moving towards them.
