ehhhh semantics aside, FF 11 has been skipped before now so it was already out of order anyway. I am saying that this banner is literally right where it was in JPN....the banner after Tactics 3. In terms of date = banner compared to JPN you can't compare them anyway because we have had banners they haven't and they have had banners we haven't. If you want to go by date this banner came before the 1 year anniversary so it's technically late.

Honestly, dual 5* banner hard pulling could potentially be absolutely brutal. You are literally facing a 0.25% chance for a Dark V.
It took me 704 pulls to get my first Lunera, my second came in less than 30. Its not unimaginable to require 1000 pulls to get your desired 5*.I'm already preparing myself for not getting him.
You guys are likely right, but we aren't in disagreement in the fact that different matching elements can build them faster. However, I was under the impression you could also build faster using multiple instances of the same weapon on both hands. But, again, I'm probably wrong.
Either way, as elemental chains reach cap at 10 hits, and normal on 30 hits, building chains up isn't too hard anyway given the hit count of a lot of these newer units. Proper use of finishers, imperil, and killers obviously make more of a difference, but hitting a 100 chain is sure satisfying.

I am probably going to do this only because I could pull the 2 9S I want while chasing my Veritas without ever having to touch the actual Nier banner if they end up overlapping.

I loathe the story in this game and skip over it most of the time. Hate the Veritas with a passion and have no interest in wasting my tickets on FFBE characters like this. I'm more likely to pull for interesting looking characters like Amelia, than these Veritas guys who are silly villains. If people like them, that's great. I have no interest in them at all. It wouldn't have even mattered if the Nier banner was coming or not. I honestly don't get what people like about them at all. Same with the overall story.
Still, I hope those who want them get them when the banner hits. It's stuff like this that keeps the game interesting for people. I realized the other day that after 2B is put into the game, there's no character I'll be putting effort in getting for a long time. I would love to have the Bravely Default characters, but that's about it. We're not getting that banner for a LONG time...if ever.

Strange how differntly these gatcha games can be played. This is my first gatcha, so to me the story is everything. I have all the story units maxed out and I would love to have the Veritas. I see them as story units, but you must pull in order to get them.

You know, the funny thing is I was like that at one point, but once I realized that the story characters were terrible, I gave up on collecting them at all. I mean, Lid STILL doesn't have a 6* version on Global. She's destined to be the bottom of the heap. I don't feel like they're even compelling in the story, so I gave up after the first fight with Dark Veritas and haven't cared for it at all. I have no interest in owning any of those characters. At this point, I consider this game as a way of collecting interesting Square Enix characters and equipping them with cool gear. The main characters I wanted to get from the game, I got (Tidus, Terra, Agrias, and CoD). Everything else is just gravy. After 2B, I have no idea what I'll want to do next and if I don't get her, then I'm not sure how I'll feel about that, either.
Glad you're enjoying the story, man. If it keeps you entertained and part of the community, that's all the better. I think that's what's great about games like this as we can play them many different ways and get different things out of it.
Just curious, what's so different compared to 1000+ ATK Orlandu, Olive, etc.?

Edit: Done. You're a gentleman and a scholar Shouta. Was slow and steady but I was only close to losing one time...luckily my unit I decided to pack full of fire resist was Rikku, so even when Basch wen down he was back up taking it like a champ from the firebeast fairly swiftly after...

Thanks everyone for lending Garbararbarrth. Unfortunately I gave up on the fight halfway through the right after having defeated the left arm.
A: Forgot to give WoL that materia that casts dispel while attacking.
B: Forgot to equip Ramuh, thus defeating the entire purpose of the fight.
C: 2x Orlandu chaining hits like trash even with no Holy weapons and 800+ ATK.
I hate this trial. Take too damn long. I don't have hours to devote to this shit. Wasted well over an hour for nothing, he was barely even taking any damage on the right hand and I was out of mana potions.
Basically I was screwed.
I need enhanced Ramza.

I agree. I failed two attempts today. Wen the fast way first but after taking out the body I thought you'd to kill off the left arm first...it revived, and the the right arm started being an asshole and healing and buffing every turn.
Tried it the slow way then and got burnt out on my fifth left arm...that's just not enjoyable.
Took me half an hour, no Fryevias. But if I had to go the slow route, I'd definitely hold off.
I'd rather have FV personally, but not chasing either one.

So for some reason it is all screwy on my phone but I managed to get the accurate time using Memu tonight - just go to Menu, Options, then Game Circle > Achievements > VIEW. It should look like this:

What is the purpose in pulling, when you own every 3 and 4 star unit? Even ignoring the one time I dropped quite a bit into this game. Mostly with freebies and the cheap bundles, I've got the majority of the units. Them adding another 4 or 5 units, isn't going to change that all of sudden.
It's not even backlog, it's just on this banner, I have something like maybe 6% chance to score something new, minus the 3* unit. I basically need an on banner Yellow or Rainbow for something new.
Could be better to save for a bit, then pull.
Also, looking up what the Gold Chest was again.

Regarding elemental chaining with Orlandu and DV, the element depends on what weapon are equipped on both. If Orlandu and DV has Deathbringer equipped, both will have dark element chaining regardless of who attacks first. But for optimal results, DV should attack first since he inflicts Dark Imperil, thus giving the chain a bit more damage. If both are equipped with Excalibur, it will be a Light element chain. If both are equipped with Dandelgas, then it's Fire element. This is because Light Ruination and Dark Ruination are neutral elements but inflicts Imperil.
Tidus' Quick Hit and Aileen's Piledriver have the same flexibility as Orlandu and DV since both are also neutral element.
Lunera, Bran and Fryevia are different because their skills already have element attached to them. So Fryevia's Blitz will always be Ice no matter what weapon she has. Same goes for Lunera and Bran's double element skills.
Having 1 DV and 4 Orlandu is exactly the same as having 4 DV and 1 Orlandu, as long as you have enough weapons for all of them. DV is an exact dark copy of Orlandu that he even have a Dark Durandal made for him lol.

Victoria is an excellent dark element, magic chainer with Overflow. She's very useful and good to have. Earth Veritas is great as a provoke tank and does damage while doing it. EV has a few different damage cuts making the unit useful for situations where you need that. TM for EV is good for EV or for your tanks that you want to raise DEF and ATK on.
Dark Veritas is far more versatile than any other DPS up until his banner.
- Chains with Orlandu very easily
- Has super handy -45% Full Break
- 100% Dark Imperil though on Counter
- Can raise party's Dark resistance by 70%
- In arena, can get 4 full damage attacks when dual-wielding and using his Double Slash
- 20% Damage cut
You get a top-class DPS and one that can help open up your team to more potential.

Checked the Amazon thing, says I've only played 154 hours on there. Well that can't be right because that's where I TM farm. Granted that's all I use it for and use my iPhone to actually play but it still has to be a lot higher than that.

It's wonky, for sure. On my phone it was saying 26minutes only...not sure what has to happen for it to give the REAL info. It should sync with all activity on both devices. I've just started using my emulator with Amazon this week to TM farm, so almost all of that time is from using my phone.
I make sure to have WhisperSync on and Show (public profile) on in the Settings. Not sure if those matter.

Also, off topic,but because of Shouta and his DQ11 stream, I used up a BB gift card and bought DQ8 for my 3ds. It will be my first DQ game I reckon. Then 11 next year!
Fire chain 2 Tidus with Luneth finisher. I think people did the same thing with Fire Orlandeaus too. Though I also had 4 Jack TMs for Rikku LB spam and machine killer on Luneth (he was doing 1.3m or so a turn himself). I heard how scary robot was and prepped a bunch of TMs for it. Tilith for heals and Zarga for buffs, especially hero crest to cycle through the 3 attackers. Minfillia could also possibly work. Definitely not something anyone can do, but I was happy it's possible without Fry.

Maybe I should put Rem or Olive in place of WoL.
No I'm not sure what that is. I didn't use berserk at all. You'd need a decent finisher too, I don't think Orlandeau alone would be enough.

Oh yea, I tried Chupon trial today. I don't see myself beating that anytime soon. I can't figure out the strategy. Setzer wasn't doing any damage and I just kept getting wiped, one by one.
Yeah, it's one of the harder trial we've got.
You can try following the step by step guide from the wiki or kbp. I followed the guide after losing several attempts myself.
It's tough, but if you have enough support units you're basically unkillable. If you can get someone to set up Fryevia for it (Diablos, aquan killer) she can easily solo dps it (that's what I did). Especially now that we have stuff like Tilith/WoL/Rikku/Minfillia, it's not too bad. Cleared it on my wife's account that way.
