My hope would be that at some point, they adjust Salmon Run and make the flyfish's recycling bins larger. It'd make it a bit easier to lob bombs at him to take him down without really sacrificing what makes them dangerous.
Them and Drizzlers are both a pain to deal with because their moments of weakness are fairly short and their attacks can launch from anywhere and affect the whole field without necessarily revealing themselves, making it really easy for one to spawn unnoticed and quickly wreck the game unchecked. At least the Stingers immediately reveal their position by attacking, and other bosses have to get in close. The combination of long periods of invulnerability, long distance and high ink-coveage attacks, and high resources needed to kill (in either time, ink, proper/lucky positioning) make those two bosses a particularly big pain in the ass to deal with.
