Yeh I noticed this from the first update. Ir went from finishing as a formality to an absolutely blood bath.

Gets super crowded real quick. Those trash can rocket launchers are a pain...

I think they are coolers actually. And there are grills, and frying pans, they are trying to eat us.

Trash cans can honestly go f themselves, had one spawn on a high tide map, on the far end of the grated walkway(it was the only path to the cans), so no inking and squiding across quickly, everyone died after being nuked having nowhere to run(not like we were able to).

I like when you finally have a good Salmon Run going and the game arbitrarily decides you're not allowed to win by giving you a night fog high tide.

I'm having such a rough time with Salmon Run tonight and I can't figure out why.

Whenever I'm trying to take out a boss a small fry splats me and vice versa. Makes me feel so incompetent.

Ok gaf. I'm in. This game has got it's hooks in real bad. It's my first shooter in a long time, but I've slowly worked my way up from awful to just pretty shit. Would be keen to get some games in with some other gaffers.

Kraken wasn't dumb, it was really good

Easy to counter, easy to run away from, easy to do good with depending on the situation. There was also the element of not knowing if the enemy you're shooting at was going to turn into a Kraken out of no where and get your ass. Made for some tense moments. Kraken on the tower in TC in the last seconds could mean the difference between a win or a loss

Just a strange omission.

Tenta Missiles is a pretty good progression of Echo-locator now that you broke it down, but ink-armor doesn't cut it to fill in that Kraken niche

Kraken on Tower Control was one of its biggest problems lol. It shouldn't have pushed the Tower if you were Bubble'd or Kraken'd. Invincible pushes are not good design.

I didn't know that the Goldie missions worked on a hot/cold system! I never quite understood it, even after reading the work manual. Not that it matters, Randoms gonna' open up every one anyways lol.

Edit:
I think Kraken's more replaced by the plastic ball that you can walk up walls with and leaves a trail of your ink behind you. It looks dumb and it's pretty bad tbh.

oh
okay yeah I forgot Baller
They did good making it to where it can't really push Tower. The rest of it is pretty underwhelming from what I've seen, though.

Your slosher is probably not doing their job and taking out the salmons for you.

Or maybe it could be you? Bad positioning?

I die all the time in SR for stupid stuff. I saw a teammate running from a boss and they jumped over one of the ledges. I panicked and did the same thing. We both fell into the ocean lmao.

That .52 Gal needs to be needed to hell

Getting one shot with it.

ThatSRB2Dude put out a video today and mentioned the .52 Gal.

It's interesting theat the TriSlosher outranges it and is more "accurate" than the .52 Gal lol.

It took me a long ass while but I finally did it, the Splatfest Tee came through for me!

My favorite shoes, the Best Shoes, and now I can use them to plow through enemy ink like it's not much of an issue, good stuff.

Can we be friends so you show up in my game and I can order the shoes? Working towards the same thing myself right now but the Splatfest Tee has not been kind to me.

Huh, I got another headlight helmet from salmon run after already having one, and it offered to let me trade it for ability chunks and I said yes...but I didn't get any chunks? Did I do something wrong?

I still haven't figured out how this system differs from the sea snails in the first game

You get the chunk/s that were on the new item, and if there aren't any chunks on it they offer you 4k cash. if you check your chunk inventory they should be there.

Ugh meant nerfed. Autocorrect. But yeah, the 52 has the range . You can't one shot with trislosher from distance.

Awesome! Ordered your two Ink Res the other night but Murch only came through with one. The cheapskate.

I actually just want more Chunks to scrub for some other shoes

How the HELL am I supposed to get out of C- rainmaker when my team is people who have just woken from 10 year comas and are suffering from brain damage? Two in a row my "team" backed the rainmaker back to OUR base and then got killed. NICE ONE GUYS.

Maybe I'll never play ranked again. Salmon Run is just SO much less stressful and accordingly so much more fun. I'll just play it forever.

One of my most common Salmon Run deaths is being at the top of the egg catcher area, a Maws chases me, I jump off to the side and die because I forgot it was high tide.

I had gotten to A- in both TC and SZ before touching RM so my run through C- to B- yesterday was quite interesting, I also had a teammate who ran it all the way back to our base but then he died and we ended up taking it all the way anyways. I swear he tried to dunk it on our end, he must have thought it was standard CTF.

We're playing rainmaker on moray towers and we're pushing the rainmaker, making great progress. The person on our team that has the rainmaker GOES PAST THE ENEMY PEDESTAL. Goes to their spawn, ends up getting killed, and we ended up losing.

Why are people so dumb?!

Inkopolis Plaza art breakdown

60% of art is Furry related
25% is Splatfest related
10% is General Splatoon related
4% is other random stuff (Best Buy jokes, how to unlock Goku)
1% is that person that does the Daily Callie art, and my favorite person in the plaza

So annoyed. I went from 40 Professional all the way down to 40 Go-Getter, all because of bad luck and teams wouldn't didn't know what the heck they were doing in Overachiever. How did they get that high? Where you carried?

Sure, I'll PM you my code, I'm done doing turf war for tonight, but I usually play in turf with the rest of the discord folks almost daily, so you can just join me if you see me.

Rainmaker is so fun to me. I never try to carry it because it's just too much pressure and I don't really know how to use it. I usually try my best to clear a path for the person who does. Weapon of choice right now is .96 Gal but I need to find ways to fill up my special and still contribute. Still learning how to play the game tho so it'll come. Somehow got to A-

Tower Control seems brain dead to me. I exclusively used TriSlosher and it seemed like autowin. Bucket is just too perfect for this mode. Trying to bring other weapons into this mode. It's my lowest rank at B but also my least played. I didn't understand how to play at first so I don't get a rank bump like the other modes.

Splat Zones, I still don't understand how I should play this mode specifically for my play style. I have problems with brush users here because I get ninja'd constantly. Almost A- tho so I'm doing something right.

It would be nice if we could choose to stay as a team in Salmon Run. Had a really good team in profreshional in one match, only to get an awful team in the next.

Well now with Splatfest coming up, I'm expecting a lot less furry posts and more Turf War posts about how much better Mayo is than Ketchup.

Personally I don't see a problem with it all!

There is no WRONG (unless, like I said, everyone is staying back) way to play Turf War, but generally speaking you should get to contesting the center sooner rather than later. This can mean claiming side paths into enemy territory, or keeping your flanks safe while painting your side behind you. Doesn't have to mean you have to go full kill mode.

Some stages it helps a lot to have one fast painter stay back to ink everything on your side, Moray Towers for instance. It's not inherently bad to have one dude stay back. But other maps, like Musselforge Fitness, your base is so small that it can be painted through a bomb or a few shots every time someone respawns, and the center is super important.

I would say try to follow your team (or ink up a new, quick path alongside them) for a few games just so you can see what they're doing.
Also, it's nice to have some turf unpainted in your base so when people die they can paint it and fill in their special. In other words, if the other team gets control of the center and you can't break through, being able to fill your special and use it can give you the chance to break their defence and turn around the match.
Getting hold of the center should always be the priority, usually the team that controls it is the one that wins the match.

Any weapons with inkshield helps against those octobrushes,
