I will never win on Starfish Mainstage. I am absolutely convinced of this. Nothing has ever been more impossible than the idea of me actually getting a single fucking win on this god-forsaken stage. May god have mercy on the designers of this stage, because I sure won't.

People hate mainstage? It's by far my best map overall between turfwar and ranked.

I guess what mainstage is to you is what moray towers is for me, which I hate

MainStage is built to encourage complete and total wipe-outs, it's not an easy map to come back on.

Starfish is okay with me. The only map I outright hate is Musselforge Fitness.

Splash o Matic weapon coming tonight

https://youtu.be/UeZHn12witU

What did it do in the first game?

Sploosh is basically a weapon for flanking and for getting up in someone's face to shoot them. Extremely short range, very wide shot spread, but high fire rate and damage, which means if you can get close enough to someone to hit them, they'll probably die.

Seems like you hate every aspect of this game when I occasionaly browse this thread :D

Based on how the game plays right now I feel like the Brella is going to be a dead weapon as soon as it launches lol

I'm just laughing imagining the poor inkling trying to shield herself from tri-slosher hell with that tiny umbrella.

Who #SplattershotPro here?

Killing those Aerospray GP guys where their bullets can't even reach.

Splattershot Pro is awesome. I love the accuracy. And the Rain Cloud special is probably my second favorite overall. Sucks up ink like a motherfucker, but nothing a couple of perks can't fix.

Biggest problem though is that there aren't too many stages to take advantage of it. They're too small!

Boy, I've had the worst day I can remember having this morning. Lost about 10 Ranked matches all together between Rainmaker and Tower Control. Just getting on nothing but straight trash teams. I had two games where I basically got the tower and the rainmaker within 6 of the goal, and we still lost. Might as well been playing by myself in 3/4 of those games.

The pro is my main for for rainmaker. Great for having to shoot the bubble and also being able to snipe the other team that grabs it.

Pro is probably my favorite weapon at the moment, and its kit (Point Sensor/Ink Storm) is definitely my favorite.

I'm really trying to like the Dualie Squelchers since the DS in the first game was my favorite weapon, but its killing potential is so unreliable now unless you make perfect use of dodge rolls.

Hello guys! Just got this game to dust of my switch! never played the original. One question, is there any item or reward for completing single player that translates to multiplayer? Any special clothing item or weapon, money or something??

thanks in advance, really enjoying the game!

god the TC goal in moray is sooooo far from spawn lmao

Moray Towers is garbage in all three rank modes. TC is way too far and in the worst place for how easy it is for the other team to go right down and snipe you.

Rainmaker.....I don't have to explain.

Splatzones is the least bad, but it may as well be just one zone since the two are right next to each other.

I tried to like the DS because of the range and fire rate, but the accuracy outside of concentrated fire mode is really crappy. If you aren't rolling for every kill, you have to get a lot closer than you think you would for a weapon with that kind of range.

That and I'm still not big on the TentaMissiles. Yeah it gets people to move, but unless you're coordinating with someone else to fire more missiles right after yours they can just clean up and get back to where they were no problem. And it'll never kill anyone that isn't brand new to the game or about toe die already.

If you beat every stage and boss with a given weapon, you unlock that weapon for multiplayer. It's just a skin for an existing weapon though, so it's not required.

It's has really short range but high damage and high fire rate, and it's pretty accurate.
Sploosh is very inaccurate, but the range is SO short it's very effective at spraying & praying. I mained the Sploosh 7 in Splatoon 1, so I'm super excited for this tonight.

Thanks for clearing that up, I hardly ever used shooters and even then never the short range ones. I didn't even bother to buy the aerosprays.

Is it fair to say that it's similar to the Aerospray?

Because a gun like the Aerospray with Splashdown sounds pretty good.

The mystery stage is awesome. A really unique idea that we haven't seen in the game before.

I've noticed there's a significant delay after a match though before it asks if you want to continue or quit.

OK then. I might try it out then. I was always iffy on how hard it was to splat people with the Aerospray unless you literally face-fucked them with your gun for a bit.

That's basically what you have to do with the Sploosh, it just takes less time. The range is even shorter than the Aerospray's, but takes 3 hits to kill instead of 5.

I am...cautiously curious about the new-look Sploosh. I liked the original Sploosh in the first game, but that was with its beakon/wail kit and I could never make the other two varuants work nearly as well. I love the idea of the curling bombs on this for the added mobility, but I'm concerned that Splashdown doesn't synergize well with it. It doesn't have the range or the tools to really follow-up from using special like other splashdown weapons have, but maybe there's a trick to it that I'm not seeing. Interesting that it has exactly the Roller's main kit. They compare in an odd way now.

Also, not really looking forward to Splatfest at all. I feel sometimes that I'm one of the only people who actively dislikes what a slog they tend to become.

Well that is a lot less time spent face-fucking. And I really like Splashdown, even if good players can still kill you before impact.

Most importantly though, it'll hopefully convert some Aerospray players so I won't see 2-3 Curling Bomb Launchers going off at once every damn match.

re: balance patches
Hopefully an ink armor nerf to only apply to nearby allies and a stingray buff to either make it easier to aim or increase its damage so it can kill faster.

I love Tower Control but cannot play as i'm charging my Switch. :(

I play tabletop with the Pro Controller and I'm 200 miles from my own TV and have no stand to allow the cable through. I also cannot play with the joy con either as it feels too weird.

:(
