No More Heroes: Travis Strikes Again revealed (Switch, UE4)

I hope Sir Henry Motherfucker returns as well.

Still, looking at the pic, can't really see who the girl is. It looks like Bad Girl... but we never got much of backstory about her didn't we? The game would start just like NMH2, which is a cool thing.

I'm really excited to see what other indie game worlds they are going to cross-over with. The concept sounds really interesting.

Interesting premise. It seems like this is Suda going all out with his weird storytelling, I just hope the characterization is up to standards and the bosses are as good as previous ones.

As for the trailer, it seems like the artstyle will be similar to NMH HD / Killer is Dead. My only wish is that Grasshopper gives the scenarios similar coloring to the first two games and don't rely as much in dark palettes, it made KiD somewhat annoying to look at. And it seems like Takada won't be involved with the soundtrack, but I expect good things from Fukuda. Also, did Travis retain his VA? The audio balance was weird in this video.

And as a personal wish, just bring back Henry, Suda! And this time make him playable beyond a single scenario.

I dare say there may be one indie world that doesn't gel with Suda51's style and that will be precisely the point.

It's never ever gonna happen but Travis in Undertale would be hysterical. Or takin' murder to the likes of Stardew Valley.

Even though Suda said that Travis' story ended in No More Heroes 2, Travis Strikes Back takes place 4 years after that. Guess his story still continues then.

I guess this is what Travis was up to while visiting that stripper place and listening to Sylvia talk, before he's all "It's me, Travis let's go back to Santa Destroy, K?"

The worlds being based on indie games has my interest. Never played NMH before other than the first hour or so from the PS3 collection, though.

For all the people claiming that indie worlds in NMH is something new :
Have you played NMH2?
All the filler levels were basically NES rendition of menial tasks.
Basically minigames galore.
It's basically the next logical step.

I do not think the minigame accusations are at all accurate.

I think we can certainly expect minigames in the game (they're a No More Heroes staple) but yeah, I don't know how people got the impression this is just gonna be a minigame barrage.

Seriously though, now that I think of it, there's so much potential. Instead of doing odd jobs to make the money to open up a new level and face an assassin/boss, imagine playing a Hotline Miami stage as Travis instead. This is such an awesome concept on paper.

I have no idea what the fuck is happening and I love it.
Everything about this game is Suda51!
From the initial Switch reveal talk to this trailer to the utter confusion of wtf is happening with the game.
It's Killer7 all over again!

This will be something but Killer7 it won't be. That game will never be topped.

Oh yeah, I forgot that the framing device in 2 probably took place some years after the main story.

Screw you, now I want to be able to date Papyrus as Travis which I know will never happen. ;_;

Good stuff good stuff good stuff. I'm excited to see the finished product, after Odyssey I need something to really look forward to for the Switch. This is definitely it.

Also,
Shinobu
better return.

Hoping this game feels like No More Heroes evolved and not like an indie game. Pretty confident it will be the former.

Fire Pro Wrestling will probably be one of them, considering what Suda said on the Switch January presentation. Or guacamelee.

Oh god Travis in Undertale would be the most fucked up thing - I can only imagine
an abridged recreation of the Genocide path
. But I feel like a chance to work with Suda and berate the player while mindfucking them wouldn't be totally against Toby's MO. Hm...

This will be something but Killer7 it won't be. That game will never be topped.

I get ya,
I meant that everything about this game and trying to piece together the whole picture is like playing Killer7.
I love everything the marketing of the game!

Hopefully, Marvelous is fast-tracking an HD collection of the first two games so that more newcomers can get the chance to experience the inspired madness of this series firsthand.

And that the first game is based on the Wii version and not whatever the hell they did to it on 360/PS3.

most anticipated title in development for me right now, and that goes against all the games I currently am aware of in development

He really loves Hotline Miami doesn't he? :D

There's gonna have to be a lot of restraint not to use Hotline Miami as the final level considering the insanity that is endgame Hotline Miami 2.

Curious what the other worlds will be.

Hotline Miami is cool. But can't think of what else they'd use.

While we're still talking Devolver, Serious Sam is an obvious contender. Maybe even Enter The Gungeon. But I wouldn't put it passed them to add some slightly more suspect games into the fold and not just ones that are gore em ups. There's always gotta be that one "out of nowhere" stage in these games.

I love that:

1). Nintendo had Suda on stage at the Switch presentation in January

2). Nintendo is making a big deal out of a No More Heroes game

I hope the indie stuff is just a side thing and a main point of the game, otherwise way to kill my hype right out of the gate. But, Suda is directing again, so I am pretty optimistic about this.
