No More Heroes: Travis Strikes Again revealed (Switch, UE4)

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASSS....sorry, I just freaking love the No More Heroes series.

Plus this game so far ticking the right box for me as;

-Travis Touchdown is back,

-Story seem to revolve around Bad Girl's, aka the best assassin ever, dad plus I like his design so I am cool with him being playable.

-Getting sucked to the world of Hotline Miami, now I haven't played this game but I do know how trippy the game is and that it has good music, plus this strongly suggest that the Hot Line Miami game will be getting a Switch port.

Guys what if there was a Transistor level? :D

Sounds like bosses with indie games inbetween. I'm down with that

Nope. We know it's the same NMH type of game. You're going through levels not minigames

Man, I don't know what was wrong with me, but I never really got that far into No More Heroes 2. Now I really want to go back to it. I'll need to buy another copy though.

Rendering looks good but who the hell was in charge of sound design for this trailer?? :|

Not really a fan of Travis's new voice or NMH getting slathered with a bunch of indie junk but Suda's directing so I'll remain optimistic anyway.

At the very least it can't be as terrible as NMH2

No I don't know what you mean. NMH was never a big budget series and "indie game" hasn't meant anything since Minecraft came out. This looks to be a Grasshopper/Devolver effort, so I guess it would be an "indie game."

I wouldn't really call Suda51 games "indie".

Indie games are more like Spelunky, Rogue Legacy etc.

Grasshopper's games definitely have more budget.

Indie isn't about budget. It's about how it was made. It means that it was developed independently of a big publisher.

It's cool that they mention the Death Drive at the end.

It's also the console that's part of the game Let It Die.

Well there's that. And the fact that they're owned by GungHo

The Deathdrive Mark 2?

No More Hereos same universe as Let It Die?

Let It Die has the Deathdrive 128 and must be the future.

Wouldn't surprise me if it's largely the same team that made Let It Die either, it's a similar enough game, also ran on UE4 iirc. so maybe that's just a small nod to the game from the team :p

I have no idea what the fuck is happening and I love it.
Everything about this game is Suda51!
From the initial Switch reveal talk to this trailer to the utter confusion of wtf is happening with the game.
It's Killer7 all over again!

Oh okay, i always thought it was about budget.

Thanks.

Yep. You've got low-budget games from big Publishers like Sonic Mania, that really can't be called indie, even if they were made at a similar cost to popular indie games.

Then you've got some indie games that manage to gather up a big enough budget to have full 3D graphics, really excellent voice acting, and the production values of bigger console games, like Firewatch for example, while staying independent.
