The history of Derry could make a great miniseries to air on something like HBO, the book has enough material to support it.

I wonder if the success of IT will lead to the Stand finally being brought out of development hell.

I could see them doing another mini series down the road a few years after the film series is over.

If Carrie and the Mist of all things are getting remakes, I could easily see IT being brought back again.

Nah, that's not on you. BOM classifies that film as horror (Horror: Supernatural, specifically). I guess it's got ghosts in it, so that's why they're counting it?

Nothing about that film says "horror" to me though.

It definitely tries to scare the audience... ergo horror!

IT doing bank is fantastic. Horror needed a beautifully shot R rated major hit (screw all the found footage movies) as another shot in the arm to keep things nice and healthy in the genre.

So nice to see the R rating make it's comeback over the last year or two.

It was so rowdy in our that several people were "thrown" out, and the staff had to stand in the aisles the whole movie. That's not really normal from my experience, but thanks to Movie Pass my cheap ass can see nighttime movies now, so maybe that's normal at night.
