Curious to see if they'll end up trying to turn It into a franchise that extends beyond the second part.
Or at the very least
Do a thing at the end where its unclear whether Pennywise is actually gone or not
It VI: Pennywise in space. It 3: Dream Warriors coming summer 2022!

Theres a reason IT is being huge.
The movie is good but also theatres need a big win after all their stocks plummeted post summer.
Nah, that's not on you. BOM classifies that film as horror (Horror: Supernatural, specifically). I guess it's got ghosts in it, so that's why they're counting it?
Nothing about that film says "horror" to me though.
Records are getting broken all the time these days. I'm already extremely bored with it, no achievement has meaning anymore.
I saw it last night.
Seeing it tonight with my mom, tomorrow afternoon with friends.
3 times in 4 days?! Damn you like IT!

Then why try so hard for the title of most inane post in this thread?
So nice to see the R rating make it's comeback over the last year or two.

Kswis is like an artist with his precision and brutality. I love it.Then why try so hard for the title of most inane post in this thread?
I saw teenagers with no ID being turned away because of the rating restriction, lol.Went to see Logan Lucky and the theater was packed with people seeing/trying to see this, many people were forced to get other showtimes than what they wanted due to sellouts. Didn't know this movie was gonna be that popular.

This is rumored to be getting a 4K release. I hope this is true!

Rth suggesting an opening in the $48 million - $49 million range.
I thought I was being optimistic with a mid-80's weekend prediction.

I just got back from a showing with my wife. This movie deserves every penny. Judging from the reaction of our audience, the word of mouth is going to be terrific.

I don't see any way IT misses $100M OW with a $48M opening day.
I'm seeing posts on social media from people who have seen the film multiple times already - a good few of them who aren't generally horror fans. It'll be interesting to get some sort of a gauge on repeat business for this, word of mouth so far is just through the roof from horror fans and non-horror fans alike. Really feels like an event film.
Even more amazing is how they managed to get tickets for another showing, this thing just keeps selling out every new showing that's put on in the cinemas around here. I haven't seen business like this here since The Force Awakens.

Speaking of legs, one of the oldest box office records out there will finally fall later this month. Crocodile Dundee has held the title of top domestic gross for a September release for close to 31 years (at about $175M).
