The teaser for TDK came out while they were still shooting. Granted, it sucked ass, but theres your precedent.

Anyway, i feel great about Anne Hathaway for Catowoman. She's a great actress (Rachel Getting Married and Brokeback Mountain), and i'm sure the role is gonna be awesome.

First thing I hoped for when I saw the title. Knightfall kicks so much ass. I've always thought that story had so much potential.

That WAS finishing him off in his eyes. He did it for show really. To prove that he could do it. As with Joker, it was all about mind games. If he wanted to kill him he wouldve.

That's like saying: If Batman is so smart, doesn't he kill the Joker? Yes it's again his moral code, but the Joker crippled Batgirl, killed Jason Todd and Jim Gordan's wife as well as countless others, and he still continues. Batman is Gotham's guardian, yet, he won't kill the one responsible for the most murders. Why doesn't he?

I only read the first part of Knightfall (out of 3), but I'm pretty sure that he just wanted to "break" Batman, not kill him. That's what he was contracted for, I believe. I'm going back to reread.

I don't remember exactly how it happens for I read that story a long ass time ago but Batman is pretty much done for and retires, which is what Bane wanted. He has no intention of killing. His intention were destroying Batman and his image by exhausting the shit outta him (Bruce barely slept after that) and caught him off guard in his weakest of the state.

Of course the whole story takes a weird downfall when magic and healing powers kick in and Bruce gets his back magically healed. Beside that, he was done for.

Because Batman is a selfish prick that would rather let hundreds (thousands? I can't really track Joker's body count) die than violate his ethics and lose some sleep at night.

Despite how silly his batman movie was, he was the best Bruce imo.

He really looked the part of the quiet, intelligent, unassuming playboy millionaire.

Bale just phones it in imo

He was a shitty both in The Dark Knight. He was a good Bruce Wayne in Batman Begins, but pretty annoying Batman in there too. Hopefully it just goes back to Begins for him, because even the bat-voice wasn't that bad there.

Yo agreed with you on George Clooney being a great Bruce Wayne. But then again he didn't even have to try.

....is this opposite day? Bale completely nailed Bruce Wayne in Begins, while George Clooney looked like he was thinking about his pay day everytime he was on screen.
 
I really liked Michael Keaton as Bruce Wayne, but I also like Bale. I rally hate Bale's Batman voice though. There's nothing to brag about being a good Batman either, there's so much suit hiding the actor it really doesn't matter, you probably see the stunt double more anyway.

I think hes shitty at both to be honest. I think a lot of it has to do with how Nolan wrote him to be "non-fan" friendly. He's supposed to be this brilliant detective but basically had to have sonars explained to him.

I know it was done so the audience could follow along but jesus christ.

And I dont like Nolans Batman either. No finesse at all. Utter disregard for what hes doing. In the Dark Knight he wouldve killed two kids if he had continued blindly blowing up cars when he was chasing the Joker. And shooting straight into a mall with people running around inside?

It all seems very off to me.

Im venting. Nice tits Anne Hathaway.
 
I don't mind his batman voice. It allows him to mask his voice (an absolute necessity) and it is more intimidating, if you can step outside your knowledge of Batman as a fictional character and see him the way criminals in his world would.

You can't be serious. Clooney's idea of a millionaire was making a "snappy" comment while looking at the floor and shaking his head smugly for five minutes afterwards.
