I can understand why public companies choose that.
But I blame the PAX admins because they should not invite him to begin with... that was their first mistake... cancel was the second.
Sony at least is not doing anything wrong... just ignoring somebody that they won't be public related.

I remember the shirt fiasco and some of the tame jokes and the whole cancel culture wave that went with it. I'll say again now what I said then, I don't really care for the guy, his opinion doesn't affect me at all, but to try and cancel someone because you don't like the things they said show's how much of a coward one can become. If you feel the need to cancel someone, it shows that you are afraid of the ideas/words and can't argue against their merits so you try and cancel the person.

I looked into this last time about the PAX event and he also kind of burned bridges by associating with Sophia Narwitz and Chris Ray Gun who both have or are still producting "anti-sjw" content and on occasion retweets people like Ian Miles Cheong. It's some saying from the American Revolutionary period that I'm not that familiar with. But in the last 10-15 years has become loosely affiliated with militia movements and tea party types. The issue was not the bad joke about a day without woman in the woman day (it was not the first similar joke from him neither the last).
He is extremist right to the point that what he says and the jokes are extreme preconceptions... he did not was compared with Hitler for nothing.
Even his closed friends tried to talk with him without any results to the points that their new channel was failing... so they reached an agreement for him left the channel.
His political ideias is out of pace even if you look at the barbarian world of centuries ago.
Nobody wants to be related with that that of guy.... so Sony and Pax are right but Pax is wrong to invite first to cancel after... they should never invite to begin.
Colin Moriarty created his own grave with that extremism... now he is just suffering the results of that.

About the joke.
He posted about how nice could be to have a day without women on the women's day.
He was ridiculous and I'm a straight man... I showed it to my wife and she rolled her eyes... it was low, unnecessary, I don't even consider a joke.
It is the same joke a guy at break off did here in Brasil and he was fired.
