Basically CD Project Red's social media (mainly twitter) has said some erm dodgy things about Trans people. Doing twitter posts mockingly going "did you just assume my gender" and then there was the trans cosplay that was a normal guy (sorry I aint using the word fucking cis) which of course is a crime worse than drowning a kitten.

Tl;DR bunch of blokes getting their boxers/panties (depending on what side of the bed they get out of in the morning) in a twist.

Wow ok, I've been lurking back on GAF since I ate a 1 month ban for basically exaggerating Persephone's comments that anyone playing Cyberpunk 2077 is transphobic by saying « Soon as you hit the start button on cyberpunk 2077, you become transphobic » .

Seeing what's happening there, the tribal mentality of mob'ing on someone, baiting peoples and then report them immediately, continuing to talk behind someone's back right there in a stickied thread (god knows what they say in discord ) and STILL act like a victim because Black Chamber did not stop everything he was doing (because nobody have lives? No sleep? No weekend activities?) to answer this vile witch hunt, and now they're jumping on Vestan who poked the hornets' nest, is mind blowing for me. Mods are basically finding easy victims for calming things down with this tribe, but they let them harass freely other members who, honestly, could just continue living their lives, not having to answer anyone's fucking queries and cross checking questions to trap them into a ban.

Tyler's words obviously carry a lot more weight than mine, but I'd also encourage you to make GAF your main gaming forum. I am a centre left atheist with very liberal values and beliefs, and while I get into heated discussions on here now and again, not once have I ever felt that I am going to be banned for holding the opinions I do. The more diverse opinion this forum has the healthier it will be, and I genuinely believe that everyone who runs GAF is keen on making sure that diversity is allowed to flourish.

I noticed Polygon posted an article and I have basically seen nobody really talking about it or bringing it up. The 'outrage' just doesn't exist like Reset wants it too, mostly because there isn't even anything there. I did find that Polygon article funny though, they called it 'edgelord marketing'. I really think most people that have problems with the game don't understand what the Cyberpunk genre even is.
