Wow ok, I’ve been lurking back on GAF since I ate a 1 month ban for basically exaggerating Persephone’s comments that anyone playing Cyberpunk 2077 is transphobic by saying « Soon as you hit the start button on cyberpunk 2077, you become transphobic » .
Seeing what’s happening there, the tribal mentality of mob’ing on someone, baiting peoples and then report them immediately, continuing to talk behind someone’s back right there in a stickied thread (god knows what they say in discord ) and STILL act like a victim because Black Chamber did not stop everything he was doing (because nobody have lives? No sleep? No weekend activities?) to answer this vile witch hunt, and now they’re jumping on Vestan who poked the hornets’ nest, is mind blowing for me. Mods are basically finding easy victims for calming things down with this tribe, but they let them harass freely other members who, honestly, could just continue living their lives, not having to answer anyone’s fucking queries and cross checking questions to trap them into a ban.
When the fucking OP of this shitfest wants to play the game, it’s just hypocritical.
Not to mention that there’s probably trans peoples right there in era that accept sexuality and hell, probably trans porno maybe even some of them on only fans, this movement is basically telling them that their version of trans sexuality is vile and should be erased from society. Imagine being that much of a bully that you corner possible members of your community.
You cannot have everyone walk on eggshells because you feel threatened on every topics. There was no way Black Chamber or Vestan could ever have made a posts that would have satisfied everyone. How do we even go from everyone welcomed to some all live matters analogy and again feel like you are the victim. Holy shit. I’m considering making GAF my main now, and thus, to them, automatically became some alt right freak, racist, homophobe, transphobic and all that instantly, without any possible discussion to be had. They’re not adults, I’m sorry, they would not survive university where critical thinking is required. Or they would try to cancel their teachers on about anything.
Oh for sure this will encourage other AAA developers to include trans in their games seeing how this plays out. They also somehow had to include every pronouns in all possible genres for the 10 fucking languages and millions of voice lines, otherwise it’s transphobic (but let’s still play it right?)
