I'm pretty liberal, but I genuinely don't see that the things she's said and done have been transphobic. All I can see is that she's trying to defend women's rights and scientific realities. A conversation for another place and time, but I'd genuinely like to her sensible argument about why people feel,she is transphobic, without all the screeching stupidity Ive only ever encountered about this topic in the past.
If I am someone who (rightly) criticises people on the far right for their denial of proven, factual science (evolution through natural selection) then I would be a massive hypocrite to not also criticise people on the far left who equally deny scientific fact (human biology).
I constantly find it quite incredible that the far right and the far left have joined up in an attack on rationality and science, from their different perspectives.

I've also signed up here because of my experiences on resetera. First I was quite sold on the idea of a rather left-leaning forum but good lord, these are not leftist who are dominating the discourse on that forum but full out crazy people. They constantly whine and insult in their big CDPR-hate thread, banning anyone who even slightly diverges from the party line and have the moronic audacity to wonder why their "discussion" doesn't catch fire in the mainstream game media. Honestly, I'm all for social justice but if Cyberpunk 2077 with their explicit possibilities to create your character outside the gender norms is treated as transphobic then everything is transphobic. And even on the warning-label infected new official CP2077 thread people won't just discuss the game, they draw a direct line from CDPR's alleged transphobia to the bugs and glitches of the the release version of the game. It's exhausting. I've observed NeoGaf for a couple of days and didn't see anything like the sturmfront right-wing mob its painted as on resetera so I've decided to come here. Thanks for having me.

Ive just been looking for Cyberpunk impressions cause Im on the fence about the game. I guess Im pretty behind on all the uproar about this game.
Try to read the OT but its got more warning signs than I care to scroll through. I check the Kinda Funny OT as Im a fan of their vids. It just been people blasting them for not bringing up trans issues in their impressions. I go to the Easy Allies OT, someone in there is also blasting them for not bringing up the trans issues.

But I have never seen them go this hard with shutting down anything that doesnt 100% agree with them or talk about the exact things that they want to hear. Its fucking absurd.

When playing Miles Morales the other day I realized that almost anyone in an orange jumpsuit is hype aggressive and ready to fight Spiderman on a whim. This pushes the stereotype that all felons are dangerous monsters who are too dangerous to ever be on the streets. Similar issues exist in the Arkham games but it continues to irk me to see every criminal represented as an overly violent killer. This irresponsible representation existed in the original Spiderman too where, even worse, a real world location "Rykers Island" served as a level where every criminal was attempting to break free and kill you and cops.
