It is odd that people who haven’t played the game is confirming what the game is based on zero time in it. Even more odd that a game with body modification and being whatever you want and feel your character is can be considered transphobic.

Now maybe I could understand if the NPC’s spent their time in your 100 hours playthroughs lynching the woman in it. Or just stood around being snowflakes and crying about it.
The irony is it isn’t the NPC’s, the “Alt Right”, or anyone else reacting to it except a group of Transgender Resetera members. They are the only people bothered by what they think is Transgenders in Cyberpunk 2077... which I don’t even know has been confirmed the woman in the ad is transgender.
Even if she is transgender, I don’t understand why representation on one of the biggest games in recent memory is a bad thing.

It's not even about the money.
It's that this person spent the better part of a fucking year, and thousands upon thousands of posts, claiming how the game is 100%, utterly and completely, transphobic, and engaging with the content is enough to condone transphobia and support it. How many people "thanked" her for convincing them to cancel their pre-orders and to decide to never play the game? Just the EXISTENCE of CP threads was deemed horrific and traumatizing to trans people. The game was deemed so horrendous, that a sticky transphobic thread was required, all other threads locked, then a super special mod curated OT with a million guidelines and an essay sticked to the top of every fucking page as a catch all was deemed the solution. I mean, for one of the biggest games of the past few years, it had to be REALLY fucking despicable to warrant this, and to disallow standard review or performance threads that tons of people would be interested in. Kyuuji was the ringleader in fanning these flames as much as possible, getting people banned, guilting everyone, and making CDPR synonymous with bigotry/transphobia/etc.
And after ALL this shit, there she is playing the game on day fucking one, like everyone else. This empty individual wasn't even willing to make the tiny personal sacrifice of not playing the game, as she's been desperately convincing others to do, and to stand by her alleged principles. Shows you what a bunch of performative horse-shit it all was. And this is all ok because...apparently they didn't personally pay for the game? Fuck off. That isn't even relevant. And to be expected, she isn't being called out on it in any meaningful manner like the above.

That's very different than "I have these issues with this game" and "[screenshots of my playthrough]."
Super clear here that I'm on Resetera's side of calling out these problematic representation issues with the game. But I am not in support of how they've handled it. There's no discussion -- just silencing. And again, near zero discussion of POC issues when compared to transgender issues. Someone on Resetera please raise this unequal treatment of problematic issues. Black Resetera OT members got silenced after raising Haitian gang representation concerns. Is it because only one of these issues affects white people...?
