Watched any low budget movies lately?

Rest

All these years later I still chuckle at what a fucking moron that guy is.
Currently watching a movie with Danny Trejo in it, that I have no clue how they got enough money to pay him to do. Behold, Pastor Shepherd:

Prospect. Pedro Pascal in a sci-fi western. Coincidentally, the role got him the part in another sci-fi western...

The 2018 full feature film was a remake of a 2014 short film, you can watch it here.
Watch the 4K HDR version if you can, it has proper color grading. The first release looks like the short film (flat log gamma look).

Watched a YT video not too long ago about him, and it seems he's fallen on tough times. Not too surprised, really.

A Good Marriage

Thriller

Based on a Stephen King story about a woman in a long-standing relationship with her husband who finds out something that completely blows it apart.

Quite an intriguing movie, but ultimately a little disappointing in my mind and perhaps a bit lost in translation from book to film.

Worth a watch but don't expect anything too mindblowing.

That was bizarrely hilarious, cheers for sharing! Like it was written and acted by kids.

★★★★★ / As a Doom player, my theory is overexposure to argent energy.
I saw this in theater and really liked it. It had some good scares and did a good job of exploring what it feels like to be afraid.

I like to watch low budget porno's. You know that home made stuff recorded with a potatoe where you can't see anything. You may be able to make out an ass cheek flapping but that's it.
I like those indians ones cause they always have like a bag or towel over their heads. Adds to the mystery.
I guess I like it because I hear the sounds so I dump a load on the floor because me and my dick are both confused as to what we're actually watching.

I don't know if the script writers did this, but it really feels like they took the time to clearly outline each character in extensive detail but then only used that characterization as a guide for how each character would react in the moments of argument and chaos. Everything is there for a reason and it works.

I was expecting to see nothing but crappy B-movies in this thread, but I see some indie movies. I guess "low budget" has different meanings for people lol

As for me, I recently watched Uninvited which is a movie about an evil cat living inside another normal cat. It's mostly crap but it has some really hilarious moments

I really like Cashback. I saw it about a decade ago on Netflix entirely based on the cover:

The movie itself is really good with some great humor.

★☆☆☆☆ / One of the greatest so bad it's good movie ever made. Honestly surprised the whole movie isn't uploaded to YT.
Lol that looks like it has the budget of an episode of The Outer Limits.

Yesterday I watched the last twenty minutes of Drive Angry. Found it randomly on tv.

This Nicholas Cage film has some of the cheapest VFX ever made. It's baffling that they okayed this cheap work.

The saving grace of this film is that I thought it was gonna be about an outlaw on the run, when in fact it's about saving a baby from a human sacrifice by a cool villain and shooting said villain with a bullet that opens a portal to hell that sucks him inside, so that's awesome.

Watched Spiral yesterday. That was some straight to DVD shit lol

★★★★☆ / This reminds me of an arcade-style rail shooter. The enclosed spaces, the constant spray of gunfire, shooting the heads off the tentacles... even the pacing is reminiscent of an arcade shooter.

Good movie. Was it actually low budget?

I remember the ending being weird. Seemed like they ended up on a freakin Skull Island?

Watched this because it was filmed near my work a few years back, and I got to meet a lot of the cast and crew. Their craft services table was bomb. Clancy Brown was fantastic.

Movie was pretty good. Saw a guy's dick explode.

Saw this on Amazon prime. One of those movies where the lead actor gave such an epic performance in other movies, it almost allows them to make any trash they want. This could have been so much better. Costume is pretty cool and probably inspired a few animes and scifi:

It's a euro post apocalyptic Commando esque movie, which looks like it was sponsored by anabolic steroids. When I say Commando, I mean the bad guys just run into bullets, while the good guy just walks around in the open. It's extremely dumb, but has a so bad it's good vibe.
I legit stopped about 20 minutes in as I was compelled to go to the gym.
