You know, they stopped selling Cyber Punk because it really should not have been put out. Paying 70 for this... is pure robbery and should have never passed QA

57 now on PC. On XBS is still on 62.

Damn, these comments are brutal. I'm watching Many A True Nerd run through the first bit. I recall Redfall being a big deal a couple years ago. Basically, this generation's answer to Left 4 Dead/LFD 2. Hopefully, some patching can take care of the graphical/technical issues, but something seems very off at Arkane.
This gen's L4D is Back 4 Blood. While not an amazing game, it's still far better than Redfall.

This looks just... horrendous

I can't believe Microsoft put marketing money behind this. Holy shit its bad.

How the hell do you go from PREY to this??

Phil's comment about the bugs and the game crash stats being inline with other games is just.... so out of touch it's crazy.
Where the fuck did they pull this guy from?

Needs to go lower still. 5 is average and it's worse than that.

But review scores are fucked so not gonna happen.

I am under the impression that a few days after launch, it appears that even 62 is way too generous a score. It seems that the game should not be over 40-45, something like Forspoken is way better game in all components
I haven't played it but from the footage I've seen (which is quite a bit) I agree. It should be in the 30-45 range.

That a mediocre game still manages to get a 60 average from critics, speaks volumes of the mediocrity of professional gaming journalists.

2 more reviews added and the score down from 62 to 60 for XBS and it's still too much. The 4 from IGN review was added and don't know the other one. Only -1 more to go for the 50. This game should be in the 40's

Touchdown for 50's all of us who voted 50-60 were right all along. Now both the PC and XBS are in the 50 Bo_Hazem Bo_Hazem

I checked one of the latest reviews, here is its conclusion
Redfall was conceived with a bunch of promises around it, the real vampiric apocalypse is that it coulnd't hold up to any of those. Looking as a last gen game with loading textures and an incredibly dumb AI. This game looks more like a concept or an alpha version than a Microsoft Game Studios final product.
Even being part of this Microsoft program, Redfall is a game that I recommend avoiding, there are many things to play, even within Game Pass that will provide you with more fun.
What score do you think they gave it? 6.9/10.
6.9/10.
Modern score system is absolutely meaningless.

Thats video game scoring for probably 20 years. Maybe more.

In every other facet of life, a 6/10 is an average kind of score.

In gaming it's the equivalent of a D or F.

Redfall now has a lower score than Destruction Allstars. Does that win it an award for lowest critical reception of a first-party published game this generation so far? Which is wild to me that Destruction Allstars is just barely above it. Despite lacking content, being a simple and small game, what was there seemed to be fairly polished and had a nice presentation. Redfall is just a total mess.

I heard this has no full motion cutscenes and they bring up they working "lower budget"and that to me doesn't make sense.

Gust works even lower budget compare to Arkane and yet their Atelier games has proper cutscenes.

Fucking hell with Drakengard 3 SE barely give Yoko Taro a budget to work with and still both CGI and in-game cutscenes.

Sorry if this was posted upthread, but this might be the most brutal review I've ever seen. He recommends that you not even download it on Gamepass to try it. And he hosts an Xbox podcast.

Destin Legarie is about as big of an Xbox apologists I have seen. So, I was interested what he'd say about the game on Podcast Unlocked.

He said, "it is possibly the worst AAA game that I have ever played".

They didn't. They went from Prey to Deathloop to this.

It has been a steady downward trend.

I watch a video this guy made about a month ago, after the influencer preview, saying it was okay but had some concerns. Then this video it's completely opposite. But no one seemed to bring that up in the comment section.

Edit: sorry, Toad I was referring the post you commented on about Matty

With this, Redfall has now also become the lowest-rated Xbox Series X|S game among all first-party and third-party Xbox Series games.

Now is the time to say that I voted 70/80. I should try to get hired by Xbox to do mock reviews.
The skill up review is really good, thanks for all those that put it in the thread. One question to those few that did play it, did it have good music? All the rest can be excused by saying that the game was rushed or caused by tech issues, or whatever excuse you want to believe but music is mostly independent. So at least that part can give something good from it.

I think SkillUp said that it reminded them of some late 2000s Bandcamp "demo" tracks. I laughed because it's so spot on. The music legit sounds like from...like an unofficial Blade sequel in a 7/11 DVD rack.

Thanks. The review is great but sadly he did not really talked about it specifically. So I hope that there is at least one music that is good. GOW Ragnarok is a masterpiece to me because among other things of the music. And there has to be at least a good one in that one too. We got 66 page for this thread. And I read all of them. Even if it was funny at times, like some of the bugs were really hilarious, it is still a lot of work so I try to find at least one good thing going for it. Maybe someone who did play it will come after and answer .

I did play the game. Not for very long because it sucks but the music is shit imo. I just went from the Pizza Tower OST being an insane masterpiece on like zero budget to this "AAA" disaster

Thanks again. And sorry if you believed that I insinuated that you didn't play it. I should have formulated that better.

And Cyberpunk on pc was eons better than this game that is not even funny.

You are not alone, I gave it the benefit of the doubt.

We made a huge mistake.
