Meh. FF XVI looks better.
And yet I'm infinetly more exited for this..!Meh. FF XVI looks better.
ff7 is day1All I saw was a game trailer, in 2023, with a wild appearance of thin waist, pronounced hips, and a mini-skirt. That's basically 3/4 of the way to day 1 these days.
They're telling you it's going to be up to a 200gb game, so kinda inferring that it's going to be a huge game. Whether it's impressive or not is up to you though. Why the fuck would you advertise the 2 discs part? Is it meant to be impressive?
The first one didn't really have many cgi. I think only the opening and the ending has cgi. Maybe when the pizza slice fell and that was it?I'm assuming 2 discs because it will be loaded with pre-rendered cutscenes. Kind of a cop out to get the game out faster but I would like to see this end on PS5 and not go into PS6.
But why? Did you completely skip Remake?Hm.. thought it would be a traditional turn-based rpg.
Yeah not gonna lie, FF16 doesnt look too great in some of the outdoor sections, at least when it comes to the foilage. Maybe Square struggles a bot with that kind of stuff. But I stopped caring too much about graphics these days. The characters look amazing, so do the animations and as long as the door textures load in properly I am A-OK.It still needs a bit more polish, though.
Who uses discs?
Get a first glimpse at the captivating story, thrilling gameplay and expansive world of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, the highly anticipated new story in the critically acclaimed Final Fantasy VII remake project.
In this standalone adventure, Cloud Strife and his friends have escaped the dystopian city of Midgar and embark on a new journey across the wide world of Gaia to pursue the vengeful swordsman, Sephiroth.
Find out which mysteries the party will uncover when Final Fantasy VII Rebirth arrives on PlayStation 5 in early 2024. Players can explore an expansive world, all brought to life with a new level of graphical fidelity, developed specifically to leverage the power of the PlayStation 5 console.
I don't understand, is it the next part of the previous episodic remake? What bits does it include vs the original full game? Does it include the previous remake bits (and if so remastered/upgraded to standard)? Or is it a new full remake?
Hm.. thought it would be a traditional turn-based rpg.
Looked like some realtime turn based mix or am I just seeing what I want to see here?
The vegetation also doesnt move or reacts. Looked pretty roughThe open-world area will be full of pop-ins. At 0:50 you can see the shadows forming in front of view (due to a low shadow cascade). You can also easily notice the LOD issues a few seconds earlier (right after Cloud opens the door and we get to see the open area). So, don't expect "next-gen" graphics like UE5. This appears to look similar to FF VII Remake, but with an open-world area.
Yes we need the trailer in 4k dammit Square. The 1st Rebirth trailer was also 1080p.I need a direct feed, high-bitrate trailer.
But why? Did you completely skip Remake?
Was it? I only had it digitalWhy is the 2 disc thing that big a surprise? Remake was on 2 discs.

Probably because PS5 supports triple layer bluray with 100gb capacity while PS4 was 50gb max. If it was just some few GBs over 100 then it would just need a day one download to play like some Switch games. Why is the 2 disc thing that big a surprise? Remake was on 2 discs.
Fuck off, what did u want? Elden ring or cyberpunk? I actually want great games insteadLame way to end the show.
How are pre-rendered cutscenes a "cop-out"? They have their own internal CG studio. They should use it.I'm assuming 2 discs because it will be loaded with pre-rendered cutscenes. Kind of a cop out to get the game out faster but I would like to see this end on PS5 and not go into PS6.
There's Cosmo Canyon's Bugenhagen scene. And there was nothing really shown past the cargo ship except for the reunion stuff
I noticed that too but if that prevents you from enjoying the game....I don't know what to say....quit gaming? The vegetation also doesnt move or reacts. Looked pretty rough
Instead of taking the time to render them in real time on the hardware. It drastically cuts down on the file size. How are pre-rendered cutscenes a "cop-out"? They have their own internal CG studio. They should use it.
