If Microsoft doesn't want the court reading the contracts that Microsoft says demonstrate their multiplatform commitments, you better believe it's because Microsoft's contracts means they don't have to keep those "commitments". I think they've had the ability to compete all along. What they haven't been able to do is win or dominate and so along came acquiring big third-party publishers.
