When you say Spider-Man 2 has game design from 2009 you automatically out yourself as a moron. And then you make a thread about it to further prove the point.

You make no sense OP. People, individuals can have their own game of the year. That is it. Nothing else to think about. Just because there is a major show at the end of the year doesnt mean you have to accept those awards as the universal truth. That'be fucking idiotic. Spider-man 2 seems like a GOTY to me. Get rekt.

Nah. I'm not ashamed of who I am, and I legitimately enjoy discussing games and the industry (especially during weekdays) when it's genuine.

I also enjoyed discussing politics in person, which is more common, but that can be equally frustrating when one can't acknowledge their own biases. Same with anything, really.

I will also prefer to call people out on being disingenuous, or at least respond to them with a straight answer as if they were serious when asking, rather than just let it go. Because I want discourse to be better.

Not sure if you're new here but I'll say don't take things too personally here. We often get on each other's nerves and crush opposing opinions whether right or wrong, all in the name of love.

I would never say that a game can't be ones personalGame of the Year. But, again, it feels disingenuous to suggest that when people generally call a game GOTY that they only saying that's it's their personal one, unless they specifically call that out. Especially just as a semantic, and unnecessary given that I think it will be good, defense of a game.

I'm okay with anyone saying it's a Game of the Year (not personal Game of the Year, but general majority Game of the Year) contender, but I would like to actually discuss why or why not.
 
I wish my life was so full of free time that I can get banned from a thread discussing a videogame featuring a man who thinks he's a spider and then create a new thread as if we are supposed to seriously discuss the severity or lack thereof of said offense that lead to you getting banned in the first place.
