Alright early adopters tell me if the disc printing issue is a Japan only thing or not.

At least it's not a Strider 2 situation otherwise one disc would say it's the remake but instead it's the original PS1 version of FF7.

I just finished a replay of disc 1 in preparation for this.
Took me 15 and a half hours, including Wutai, which is completely optional in the original.
I'm hyped, but also oh boy, I can't wait to see how much padding this part has.

I'm always the one that would say it's completely dependent on the player. Though I have read that some have been able to mainline the game within 40 hours. Which is quite substantial if it's just story.

Definitely. They are the only used game store left still standing from when I was younger. Used to have so many options and this store in particular used to have four locations and now they're down to one. And that's all that's left outside of the big chains but you can't get much at GameStop anymore and what you do get is usually opened already even if it's new.

There's a Mom and Pop store not too far from me that breaks the street date on a majority of titles. I asked them the other week if they were going to have the Deluxe Edition. They said they didn't know how many they were going to have. Only one person pre-ordered so figured I'd have a shot. Anyway, I got mine through Best Buy luckily via Wario64 and got it today so it's all good.

Definitely enjoy it. I'm leaving work in a bit but won't be able to get to it until tonight.

In Japan, in the first print of the game at least, the discs are labeled incorrectly.

It's almost as if the lighter-toned disc had an identity crisis and thought it was the black one...

Same, they are always breaking the street date sometimes really early. I could have pre-ordered deluxe from them last week and that's probably what I should have done if I was going to break down and come up and get it anyway but you don't always know what you're going to do.

But anytime I'm really hyped for a day one usually I will go with them otherwise most of the time I can just wait on whatever online outlet to get it to me. I don't get a lot of things on launch anymore.

I don't know... There were a few instances during the in-game cutscenes where some assets looked questionable. Just wanted to see if other gaffers shared a similar opinion in regards to the graphic fidelity.
