Agreed, its their IP, their fantasy, if the want to say this exist in their world, all power to em.

This is completely optional and I don't think it should have anyone this triggered as its 1 feature with a scar, that seems to be maybe a bit of an exaggeration to be going wild from an option that can be turned off.


Either way, I'ma make my own fantasy where a chick had her right breast cut off in battle and she was so tough she cauterized it with a sword over fire.

The legends will know her as the 1 Titty Swordsmen (I'll keep the men, as I don't want to trigger GymWolf GymWolf by saying something like Swordswomen) but her close friends will know her as Fiddy Titty (like 50% Titty)

....cause she only has one, 1 instead of 2, see if she had 2, it would be 100% (proceeds to explain her whole name with math)

Idea itself wasn't that bad, but I didn't liked how they executed it. I've played it a bit and didn't enjoyed it. I'm just glad I haven't paid for this game as I claimed it via PS+

Funny thing was that I actually loved that PS2 game by EA lol

Yeah, exactly. And this one I assume is even more important in publisher's perception to have a larger audience playing it as it is a GaaS type of game that is created in mind with people playing online. It had some singleplayer content but very basic (tutorial and three tournaments), but from I gathered by playing it the larger focus will be on the online component with seasonal stuff and the like

It's just a proof that even with having a well-established IP you can still screw up. Dragon Age as an IP definitely has some sales potential and is considered AAA. I mean, Inquistion won Goty awards and was highest-selling BioWare game up to date. But looking at its sales I feel Veilguard may not generate the same numbers as excitement for it is on a much smaller level. Not to mention that game tries to distance itself from its roots and has focus on a much different experience that is far from what it was

Big boobs, big butts, curves, etc. - all things that many women have yet they're often not portrayed or even allowed to be portrayed in certain video games. It's become too frequent to pass off as coincidence and, at this point, I don't care what the reasoning is - this game has an optional toggle for top surgery scars while omitting the option to create a curvy woman. It's tiring and predictable and it really paints a picture of what the 'inclusive' people really think about a group who makes up half the planet. Basically, their idea of how a woman should look is more important and relevant than what women themselves think and what they actually look like.

I've said it before and I'll keep saying it - if a developer wants to represent women then I'm all for it. But represent women - your reality denying, borderline or ofttimes insulting version ain't it.


Edit: Found this comment on a YT vid. It's a nice, concise way of showing the issue at hand so I thought I'd share it:

Number of women with larger than a B cup: hundreds of millions or more
Number of women with wide hips: lol I dunno like almost all of them?

The inclusion of the scars is no issue by itself but it does hint that this shit will most likely be littered throughout the entire game. Easy pass for me.

Well, it depends how will you look at it

I believe they started working on DA4 in 2015, but the game went through multiple iterations and was once put on hold as devs were assigned to help with pushing ME Andromeda out of the door. If I remember correctly they officially announced this game in 2018, but I'm honestly unsure if it was exactly this game or one of its earlier iterations. One of earlier versions was apparently an online game focused on live service. Rumors says EA decided to pivot to singleplayer again after Fallen Order's commercial success and Anthem's failure

Bottom line is that they probably pumped a lot of money into this over the years, so I assume sales expectations by EA execs are high

There is no right or wrong on this matter. Just differing opinions from people with different world views. Ultimately this is a product to be sold. The customer is always right in that case. So we will see how this game goes over with the masses for the decisions they've made with it.

Guys you're really making a big deal out of this. You have to think about it in the context of the world in which DAV is set. It is a world unlike our own. A world of magic and forces unlike real life.
Top surgery in the world of DAV is actually very plausibly pleasant and likely uses a magical practitioner to remove the breasts in a much more pleasant and delightful way.
However I do think fuck this game and this nonsense nutcasery.

I can't say what is or isn't in their world, its their game, but i do think if they wanted to do this, they could have made a better way to explain it or even make the scars look more wild instead of some exact thing or something lol

Either way, I'm not sure this is really that big of a deal, its a option someone can turn off and I'm not even sure anything in the game even talks about this, like an actual mission or quest if you select this or something. Plus with the character having clothes on, who cares? lol

I remember changing the penis size in CP2077 and completely forgot about that whole thing and only in the game's end credits I was like "oh yea, we never even see him naked anyway" lol

I don't know how many times in any RPG, this is actually like literally used in the actual story, like the choice you make with some exact feature like hair or tattoo or scar actually used in the game as something tied to a mission. That isn't to say its never happened, I just never heard of a game doing that

When u got modern "strong, independend, brave" women, then most kids are either at school or if rich enough- got nannies, no more oldschool conservative parenting, not to mention so many single moms, and no singlemom can be housewife and results can be really terrible- its a miracle if kid raised in that "new normal" turns out decent person, then as a result u got infinite circle continue- aka new single moms, emphasis put on carrier/getting the bag instead of putting family and children first- aka another generation of unmarriage-able ppl, and yup, birthrate plummets to the bottom, like in all western world countries.

I didn't say BG3 was as woke. BG3 was a progressive game but its characters weren't all about that fact. And yeah, it was also a great game.

And IP is not a guarantee looking at some of the Marvel, DC and Star Wars games.
