It looks like Silent hill 2 Remake is starting to be leaked! People can play on their ps5.

I'm pretty curious about this. Never played the original and I really dig the games atmosphere.

But October is too packed. I'll have to let it slide for now.

My guess is this game is going to be Resident Evil-esque in design. First playthrough 20h, second playthrough holding down the run button the entire time and blazing through puzzles, maybe 5-7 hours.

Hopefully they have fun new game plus incentives like RE.

Its still Bloober Team we're talking about here. I wouldnt get my hopes up. Even those 20h could be meh. I dont think Ill be day one tho. Too many games this season...too little time, too little money.
 
If I think back, I'm almost positive I was able to pick up the original PS2 version a few days before official launch too lol
 
Probably some GameStop employees with no chill. Mom and pop stores in large cities. Retailers who don't respect street date.

All this while those who have the digital deluxe edition preordered, are patiently waiting their turn.

It shouldn't bug me, but what doesn't make a lot of 🤬 sense is that you pay X amount more to play 48 hours early. While there's a small percentage of people plowing through the game as we speak.

It's like paying to see a film days before it comes out while early screenings were shown weeks ago. Is it marketing driving that type of thing? IMO they don't ever do a good job at launching a game. Everything gets leaked.

One of my favorites from the PS2 era. Still have my copy with OST. Hope first timers enjoy it as much as I did back then!

Of course Canadian store cucks will never release it before the official date

For you info Canadian chicken, in Europe most often stores break the street date at least 1 week before the official release, and the retail price is 15% to 20% lower than digital

The spoilers are that in this version, we discover that it's actually an alternate timeline, and James will eventually team up with himself from the original timeline to defeat all the monsters in town. At the end, when the violence stops and the dust settles, James A looks at James B and says "I guess now this really is Silent Hill™, James".

I had a feeling this would happened when after announcing Silent Hill 2 Remake they announced Silent Hill 2 Rebirth.
