Correct.Reflections on Pro quality mode also have proper ray tracing I believe, rather than nanite reflections or whatever.

They do look much better to my eyes, that probably explains whyReflections on Pro quality mode also have proper ray tracing I believe, rather than nanite reflections or whatever.
Exactly.Who knows.
In what kinda of parallel universe have raytracing reflections in 30 fps mode and higher resolution with more stable 60 fps is shittier compared base ps5? Just because PSSR exhibit more artifacts make the whole version worse? You are just trolling. Some of you is too much invested to spit out nonsense and falsity about the pro version just because he can't digest the price to ignore even the reality of the real multiplat differences.Nothing to do with what i said. So i will repeat. An unoptimized game is an unoptimized game. There's no way around it no matter the system. The problem is the game being shittier on a brand new $700 system when compared to a five years old ps5. That is not something that should happen even once.
Lets be real here, RT is irrelevant unless it's running in 60fps. Literally 100% of everyone playing every game, is playing them on Performance mode, and nothing else. When you spend an additional $700, you would AT LEAST expect it to run at a stable 60fps, and you ain't getting that, but fuck it, who cares right? We should just sweep that shit under the rug, and pretend it's running fine cuz you know, you already spend those $700, so you gotta feel good about it one way or another. In what kinda of parallel universe have raytracing reflections in 30 fps mode and higher resolution with more stable 60 fps is shittier compared base ps5? I have it on my desk. It's basically silent.
Games run 60fps or higher settings. 4070 comment is confirmed by df.
I don't care for any of your arguments. Do not bother. I am happy with the system
It isn't. It was the closest card at the time because the likes of the 6800 don't have AI upscaling and the 3070 Ti only has 8 GB of VRAM. The closest ones now are the 5060 Ti and 9060 XT and they're overall a bit faster.4070 comment is confirmed by df.
I don't know about that. And this is one of worst ps5 optimised gamesPro vs 4070

Not even close.I don't know about that. And this is one of worst ps5 optimised games

Better than consoles, and it's not even close. And again, cuz nobody is listening, when you upgrade a gpu, you get an instant boost of frames and visuals, something the Pro has real trouble attaining. But this game run shitty on pc too the hell you are talking about now
The thing is the port is not remotely bad as you said. Never claimed I'm fine with the higher price, but be overdramatic and lose any kind of mind lucidity about the argument is very childish if I can say.Better than consoles, and it's not even close. And again, cuz nobody is listening, when you upgrade a gpu, you get an instant boost of frames and visuals, something the Pro has real trouble attaining.
Love those back and forth. The game's performance is subpar on every platform. Doesn't matter that it's "better". This is a tallest midget contest.Better than consoles, and it's not even close. And again, cuz nobody is listening, when you upgrade a gpu, you get an instant boost of frames and visuals, something the Pro has real trouble attaining.
I dunno, I'd take all the visual goodies I can get on "quality" mode running at around 40ps if the game has good motion blur. Even with the Pro I don't expect to get everything at 60fps. For example, I'm playing DS2 on Quality mode on a PS5 Pro and OLED TV with VRR and I don't have any issues with the performance. I think it's a game by game thing and more about how well the studio can optimize.Lets be real here, RT is irrelevant unless it's running in 60fps. You of all people have no business saying this lmao.this fake needless ps5/pro hate in every single multiplatform game (and not) thread is such a big nonsense.
Are pc players and xbots so insecure? why. It's a great console.
I don't know about that. And this is one of worst ps5 optimised games
I don't get it, are you bothered because people are unhappy with what's on offer by a discless $700 system? Who said the hate is fake? People have higher standards for Sony because they have been delivering for the longest time. Right now, they completely forgot what delivering the goods means, and this has been Sony's state for years now.this fake needless ps5/pro hate in every single multiplatform game (and not) thread is such a big nonsense.

That would be true if you weren't spending an additional $700. As is, shit needs to be called the fuck out.Love those back and forth. The game's performance is subpar on every platform. Doesn't matter that it's "better". This is a tallest midget contest.
why? I have the system and I am happy with it.You of all people have no business saying this lmao.
It's true. That's one of worst ps5 pro patches.Citation needed.
It was one of the earlier Pro updates that actually gave a damn and added actual RT instead of just increasing DRS resolution like most games did (and still do).
that's not what I said.I don't get it, are you bothered because people are unhappy with what's on offer by a discless $700 system? Who said the hate is fake? If you're one of those who bends over for a multi billion dollars company, and accept what's given, that's great to know. I want better, because they've already offered much better in the past, so they're obviously capable of doing so. You look at DF's analysis of every new release, and the difference (in performance mode, the only mode that matters) between the standard ps5 and the pro is miserably low, and in some cases, the standard ps5 is even better than it's so called upgrade. Imagine defending this bullshit, the bullshit that cost you $700. Wtf.
Like you ain't one of those constantly shitting PC threads. Please.why? I have the system and I am happy with it.
In what region is the Pro $700 more expensive than the PS5?That would be true if you weren't spending an additional $700. As is, shit needs to be called the fuck out.
I have my reasons. I don't "shit" on pc. I feel like I am contrructively critiquing it.... somewhat.Like you ain't one of those constantly shitting PC threads. Please.
In what region is the Pro $700 more expensive than the PS5?
Listen to what you've just said. Your brand new $700 system is so great that the best way to experience the game is to ignore patches. And yes, the $700 price tag will be permanently attached to this ripoff of a system. And it being discless, forcing you on their digital echosystem, is another thing i will never let be. Bullshit needs to be permanently called out in hopes they learn for the future.why? I have the system and I am happy with it.
It's true. That's one of worst ps5 pro patches.
But the citation is for alan wake 2. not for sh2. sh2 runs and contorls ok. AW2 is really laggy to control and still, even on pro it's grainy and breaks up.
that's not what I said.
Who is unhappy with their ps5 pro?
Maybe you would be if you bought it only to play sh2.... but even then, you can just play offline 1.0 from the disc and avoid bad pssr patch.
I can't believe we are still hang up on 700$. It's 2025. This is not a high price. And this is a whole console. not just a gpu upgrade.
Most people that own a Pro have already had the standard one since day one. $500/$400+$700 is where the "additional" $700 is coming from.Like you ain't one of those constantly shitting PC threads. Please.
In what region is the Pro $700 more expensive than the PS5?
What a dishonest way to frame this. So if I buy an Xbox when I already have a PS5, it's an additional $600?Most people that own a Pro have already had the standard one since day one. $500/$400+$700 is where the "additional" $700 is coming from.
The price it's the cost of the hardware part. I don't know about the others countries, in EU it's surely overpriced 100 bucks but the cost in USA are right for the hardware components.Listen to what you've just said. Your brand new $700 system is so great that the best way to experience the game is to ignore patches. And yes, the $700 price tag will be permanently attached to this ripoff of a system. And it being discless, forcing you on their digital echosystem, is another thing i will never let be. Bullshit needs to be permanently called out in hopes they learn for the future.
No because you're buying a completely difference system of another brand, not "upgrading". So what's so dishonest about it?What a dishonest way to frame this. So if I buy an Xbox when I already have a PS5, it's an additional $600?
THe cost would be right if the cpu received the same upgrade that the gpu has gotten. Then i'd agree. As is, the system is as worthless as the PS4Pro was, but at least they didn't sell that system for much higher than it's standard version, and didn't remove the damn disc drive. The price it's the cost of the hardware part. I don't know about the others countries but in EU it's surely overpriced 100 bucks but the cost in USA are right for the hardware components.
1 patch. not patches.Listen to what you've just said. Your brand new $700 system is so great that the best way to experience the game is to ignore patches. And yes, the $700 price tag will be permanently attached to this ripoff of a system. And it being discless, forcing you on their digital echosystem, is another thing i will never let be. So you don't know how much cost. Fine. If for you it's not worthy it's ok, but market it's like that.THe cost would be right if the cpu received the same upgrade that the gpu has gotten. Then i'd agree. As is, the system is as worthless as the PS4Pro was, but at least they didn't sell that system for much higher than it's standard version.
Who the fuck buys a Pro as an upgrade while keeping the base PS5 around? They'd sell it and if they keep it, they're not upgrading, they will simply have two PlayStations. No because you're buying a completely difference system of another brand, not "upgrading". So what's so dishonest about it?
As if there is many PS5 Pro properly optimized... let's not go there.I don't know about that. And this is one of worst ps5 optimised games
70% garbage based to what meter? As if there is many PS5 Pro properly optimized... let's not go there.
more than 70% of them are garbage upgrades. barely extra resolution that you can't tell the difference anyway.
his imagination. don't entertain them. They are either brainless haters or xbots.70% garbage based to what meter?
PS5 GPU is capable of so much more, as evident in some of the proper PRO upgrades in some games like Stellar Blade compared to the most mediocre games.70% garbage based to what meter?
his imagination. don't entertain them. They are either brainless haters or xbots.
This is not true at all. Games use higher graphic setting and res in quality mode (when it's there) perfomance mode is very close to quality mode on base ps5. How did you got such weird perception?PS5 GPU is capable of so much more, as evident in some of the proper PRO upgrades in some games like Stellar Blade compared to the most mediocre games.
the GPU in the PS5 pro jumped from 2070/s to 4070 . yet most games are having shitty upgrades where the PS5 pro can do much more.
I blame the Devs really for not utilizing the power of the Pro and thinking of it as almost an afterthought. (Let's increase some resolution and add PSSR without proper optimization and call it a day )
Your avatar says it all. But I don't expect much from a fanboy
PS5=RX6700 , PS5 Pro=RX6800 + RDNA4 RT + 300TOPS AI core(PSSR will become full FSR4 next year)If you're one of those who bends over for a multi billion dollars company, and accept what's given, that's great to know. I have my reasons. I don't "shit" on pc. I feel like I am contrructively critiquing it.... somewhat.
but they are wrong and I am right. simpleBro .. you can't be serious with saying shit like this and then trying to call others out for 'constructively critiquing' something that you happen to like![]()
That is what the high iq ones do. At the end of the generation, when a new system releases, you're supposed to get rid of the previous one (unless you actually want to keep it for whatever reason), but all i hear are people saying that they gave it to someone, or just put it in a closet. And i've been hearing this for so long, and so often that i'd bet you that most don't sell their system, which makes it so the Pro is a full $700 hole in your pocket.Who the fuck buys a Pro as an upgrade while keeping the base PS5 around? They'd sell it and if they keep it, they're not upgrading, they will simply have two PlayStations.
My issue is not the GPU. It has a fine gpu (i have a 6800xt in my pc). My problem is the shitty CPU. Two generations in a row, the cpu is so far behind, it fucks the gpu. The cpu inside current gen systems was already extremely outdated in 2022, and we're in mid 2025. What exactly can we expect from this garbage in 2026 and on?PS5=RX6700 , PS5 Pro=RX6800 + RDNA4 RT + 300TOPS AI core(PSSR will become full FSR4 next year)
The PS5 Pro is performing according to its specs (35-45% frame rate improvement, up to 2x resolution improvement, etc.).
I agree that not all games take advantage of Pro, but 90%+ of games benefit from the increased DRS resolution and frame rates as per the specs.
