I just barely post there but I saw the Kingdom Come 2 thread and said: "Goty". And I believe its truly amazing content for a game of the year.
What are those guys smoking? Well if they gonna ban me at least let me say something that leads to a real ban?

I don't know if it is still the case or not, since I haven't been back on there for ages, but there was a time they would ban people if they knew they were still posting over here. Everything you type has to be on egg shells, between that and the sentiment that "every white person is a racist" and if you didn't agree you got a ban was enough for me to leave that fucking place and never turn back. Nothing of value was lost dude, definitely don't lose any sleep over it.

Makes me appreciate GAF even more. I poke fun at my man Topher's senior status everyday, not a single mod thought I was troll, in fact, they probably couldn't agree more with me.
 
Does Era constantly bring up Gaf? Cause it's wild how many times it's brought up here. Usually when you don't like something you just ignore it and don't talk about it, lmao.

I mean, it's a low effort post and pointing that out with an actual warning (!), not ban, might have been appropriate. I don't know, maybe you had a history of these posts?

Anyways, that place is not worth arguing or going deeper into this. Even if you tried you best to simply discuss games without any politics it feels like walking on egg shells. Maybe they found something about a game you said you liked and suddenly you're supporting killing trans people.

Nothing that community offers is really worth it.

Start one! I'll be there, been almost exclusively listening to metal the last 30+ years. Been playing the guitar myself for as long but not professionally just hobby. I'm kinda stuck in the old school 90s thrash stuff, as far as I'm concerned there is still nothing that beat Metallica's Justice for All album and Megadeth's Countdown to Extinction when it comes to riffs. Could use some new ideas!

Modern metal is often just some suicidal screaming guy hating on everything or that he was born or whatever. And I'm not depressed or hateful or suicidal so I don't need that.

Instrumental metal is the only thing modern I genuinely enjoy. Some Dreamtheater songs where LaBrie mostly shut up and Petrucci and Portnoy and Rudess just gets on with it for like 20 minutes is just magical! The Parasomnia album they just released in feb has some great songs. Give it a listen if you haven't already!

Many places like that are run by very weak people. On reddit some subreddits can autoban you if you're a 'kotakuinaction' subscriber, don't even have to post anything 'controversial'.
 
That place is literally an asylum full of mentally ill degenerates, who have been shown to count pedos among their users. I don't know why anybody would willingly want to visit that place, let alone be a member there.

I used a username "Alphamaleandwatchtv" on other sites and got banned immediately. What is wrong with being alpha male and doing beta and gamma stuff?
