"The Resident Evil 7 demo, titled "Resident Evil 7 Teaser: Beginning Hour", was first released for PlayStation Plus subscribers on June 13, 2016, after the game's announcement at E3. The full game, Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, was then released in January 2017."

So 7 months from the release date.

Could be historical, as this would certaintly be the first of countless games on the system that inevitably run like total dogshit on it because of the anemic hardware. Fluctuating between 19 and 28 fps with a resolution so low even DLSS can't make it look good even in docked mode.

You're right and I hate it.

The only thing that would be a realistic, genuine surprise would be either the reveal of a new remaster collection (because since they've remastered all the popular stuff, they have no choice but to do a collection on something more niche).

A DLC surprise for an existing game. I remember reading a leak here and on reddit about a game getting DLC, but since the director of that game has left the company it could have been left in limbo. If nothing comes by 2026 we'll know that leaked DLC is internally dead.

For people saying about a demo I'd wouldn't get yr hopes up, this will just be maybe a little more footage to each game shown, pragmata demo at sgf let journalists play it but they where stopped by staff when it came to a boss so sounds like they where playing the game not a demo, re journalists didn't play re9 they watched someone playing so there no chance people getting demo at the min, I'm sure there was nothing major at last yrs spotlight

Far too early for that, expect it a month before release.

I just want to see some gameplay

- How are the graphics?
- How's the lighting?
- Have animations improved?
- Has stage interactivity increased?

Maybe! They did a good enough job with SF6, and yeah I realize MHW is an entirely different beast, but it would sell a truck load of units.

Not been this excited for an original Resident Evil game since 5 (which was a let down for me).

That's more than enough for me. I hate when they show gameplay only to the journos and we get a couple of screenshots at best.

I want to see the footage for myself and not rely on written synopsis.

If RE9 is going to be a primarily Leon game, I'd assume they'd want to get that information out sooner rather than later. I'm sure there are a good % of players that weren't interested the moment it looked like it was going to be primarily first person horror playing as the new character. At least announcing Leon would help to bring those people back on board.

Wilds was such a let down, everytime i boot that game its stutter festa until It compiles some shaders, cant wait for the next no main line SW2 MH game.

This revelation has potentially put me off of one of my most anticipated games. Having to solve a puzzle every time you hack a robot to fight them doesn't sound like fun, but a chore and repetitive. I hope this sounds worse than it actually is.
