Can you tell me 5 exclusive pc games WITHOUT native controller support with better stealth ai and more developed senses than mgs5 and 5 with better battle ai than halo on legendary.

Just curious how i missed all these games with incredible human like ai exclusive to pc that are impossible to complete with a controller...
Who said anything about other games with better or worse AI or impossible to complete with a controller??

Breh wtf, I just installed the game with disc which took forever and now I have to download a patch of 68 GB

Wasn't your whole point that devs made dumb ai with slow reflexes for console\controller centric games because you can't have the fast aim of a mouse?

So i guess there is another bunch of titles with better ai than some of the best ai in gaming that is exclusive for mouse and keyboard where devs don't even bother with controller support because it would be unfair...

But maybe i misunderstood what you meant :lollipop_grinning_sweat:

That is what it looks like in this game. Halo have much better AI but enemies are also slow as hell to move so not much different in aiming speeds "needed" plus all the garbage aim assists.

Better AI is not the only thing that may require faster/preciser aiming. Doom Eternal AI on nightmare, for example, is not better than Halo AI but the "bullet hell" makes you "need" to move, aim and shoot much faster.

Man this game is amazing :D

I thought DS2 was kojima unhinged, but some of the cutscenes here are hilarious. Game looks so damn good on PC with DLSS4 and i have perfect performance with 0 stutter

I took the screens directly from the PS3.
I don't remember the game well, 100% ages ago on X360.

I own it on SX, looks and runs pretty clean.

IIRC this game was 1080p/60 even on the PS3/360. It ran with a 20fps cap on the PSP, going from that to 60fps on PS3/360 was a godsend, the game is much better to play, but the dual analogs also make it way easier, since it was designed around the PSP's nubbin.

The End bossfight was great :)
One of my favorite boss fights of all time. Trust me you havent seen anything. If you have a save before it, go replay it, you will see so much more stuff.

also, you can kill him immediately after a cutscene while hes in a wheelchair and the entire area will instead be populated by soldiers.

I didn't know, i thought it was 720p like 2/3. From what i'm reading the standalone version allows 1080p.
I have the PSN version installed and took a screen, but are you sure it's native or just upscaled?

It would be amazing if they remake this one too, peace walker is awesome

PW looked incredibly clean at 1080p on PS3/360, but so did 2&3 to be honest. 720p, but with 4X MSAA

EDIT: Checked the old HD collection DF analysis, and all three games are 720 with 2X MSAA.
PW definitely looks sharper to my eyes than 2&3, but not massively.

I think they might be wrong.

Yeah PW was excellent. Even on PSP.

You can safely discard its story, and I was indifferent on the spongy boss battles that were more tailored towards co-op it seems, and I guess the end game capture the same guy over and over was a bit lame. But I liked how simple its design was, perfectly made for handheld. Chain throwing was fun, albeit easy. PW was a very simple and fun game boss battles aside.

I enjoyed it much more than V.

Ughh, every time I get alerted I want to start over.
I'd say part of the experience is getting yourself out of a situation when shit goes sideways. Let it play out. This will also keep the flow of the game better than starting areas over each time your alert enemies. Save the pure stealth runs for later.

That said. Play the way that gives you the most enjoyment.

Like Judge Magister Judge Magister said, IIRC the stand-alone version of Peace Walker was 1080p but the one that came bundled with the HD Collection from Bluepoint was 720p.

I can't find a definitive source to confirm this but I remember this was the scuttlebutt back in the day.

Judge Magister Judge Magister

It does look like 720p, but very clean IQ for a 720p game I've seen.

Went with PC. You can hit 120 at 4K Ultra on a 9070XT by brute forcing FSR 4 in Optiscaler and enabling FMF 2.1. Have an uv/oc going too.

Haven't had a single stutter so far. I was going to go PS5 because I can handle frame drops but UE5 stutter is like nails on a chalkboard to me.

Damn.

Looks like Legacy Filter might be the way to play this game.

Everyone's vouching for it.

The swampland, second area and the FPS is already horrific on base PS5, feels like it dips down to the low 30s. Hope this isn't indicative of the entire experience.

Just beat The Fury. Oof.
  • Stamina system is still pointless. It should have been removed
  • Injury system is still pointless. Also should have been removed.
  • Camo system is a lot better now than before since there's a quick menu, but it overall adds very little to the game.
  • The trial-and-error gameplay design really starts to get grating after a while
  • A lot of the voice acting has not held up well. Volgin and The Boss are especially bad.
  • None of the boss fights have been memorable. I shot them, they died.
  • The FOV and camera make things feel more claustrophobic than they should a lot of the time. Luckily there are mods available to alleviate this somewhat.
  • CQC system doesn't feel good to use. I avoided it as much as I could.
This desperately needed a SH2-style remake, not 1:1. MGS3's core gameplay was already dated when it came out, and now even moreso. This game came out AFTER two Splinter Cell games, for fuck's sake.
I agree with all of these takes and I wish I didn't. I thought Snake Eater was my favorite Metal Gear, but this game is showing me that even with a fresh coat of paint the core gameplay (CQC, clumsy movement, stam/food/injury systems) all feel quite dated.

Spending twenty minutes in an area only to fall in a pit on my way out (just as I did 20 years ago) and have to redo all of my work is also annoying and no longer clever or funny. :/

Skill issue 🥱

I really want to get this as I still think MGSV is one of the best playing games ever made but I just can't justify supporting this in the state it's released on the PS5 Pro.
This does not play at all like MGSV, don't be fooled. The animations look on par but the gamefeel is still very much one of a PS2era game

Wow that's disappointing to hear and has completely killed all my interest.
Snake Eater is everything that makes Metal Gear special. Phantom Pain is everything that Metal Gear isn't.
Sure, it has a good gameplay, but everything else is an absolute insult to the series. I still refuse to believe that Kojima had any real control after the initial stages of development. It's the Resident Evil 6 of Metal Gear.

Yooo, this game is fucking awesome. I'm surprised modern KONAMI could pull it off. You can tell the development team had a ton of respect for the original.

Playing on Steam and so far I'm not having any performance issues. I used the fix to unlock the frame rate and it runs great (60 ~ 90 fps) maxed out without any hitching that I've noticed so far. Honestly seems to be one of the better implementations of UE5 that I've seen.

What's your setup? I'm wondering if I can run this on an RX 7800xt.

More than respect, you can tell in the interviews of the producers, they had a very humble and conscious approach to not spoil the game.

They mainly added content / QoL improvements in a tasteful way, It's not an ambitious remake with everything remade, wider areas, no loadings but in the end if you like the original you like it because it's the same experience with a plus.

Just blew through that over the last few days. Konami nailed this as a remake. I think the team did an awesome job updating what was needed. Looking forward to what's next.
