Resident evil 9 trailer 2

Who the hell holds their flashlight like this? Is she asking for Carpal Tunnel Syndrome?

Capcom must be holding back the goods, because if I see the lobby stairs/her holding the phone in this game one more time, I'm going to become Nemesis myself.

Nu-Age RE is so bland and uninspired. Capcom has truly lost their way with this franchise, but at least they attempt to appease longtime fans with modernized and streamlined remakes of the original golden era entries. So it's all good right?

"Footage from PC version"

Interesting

PS4/5 is usually Capcom's default platform to show their games, this time they seem to be leading with PC.
This + the collaboration with Nvidia to implement Path Tracing hopefully means a good PC version instead of the their last 2 mediocre (or sometime outright bad) releases (DD2 & MHWi)

I have no doubt the game would be very fun but these trailers aren't that great, at least still better than the first one.

I still think that guy is Spencer and even more so with that Umbrella logo. I never thought he was 100% in RE5.

Feels like there's a lot that's being embargoed right now. Kind of gives me the same feeling as those TLOU2 trailers featuring only Ellie. Like...what's shown is fine, if a bit bland, but it feels distinctly like they're trying to promote how well their doors function without showing us the building they're attached to.

I wonder why…

The hair. To me it's egregiously bad and static. It always takes me out of a cutscene especially with the last few RE titles. No movement in the hair freaks me out

I honestly thought once resident evil 2 remake came out that capcom would have realised that is the style of resident evil that we all want.

3 remake and 4 remake are the same so why go to this weak, scared character slow boring gameplay. I'll never agree with Leon being too tough to be scared excuse as Leon, Jill or Claire don't have to be scared... I, the player is the one to feel those emotions plus doesn't matter how tough characters are they will still struggle on screen as Leon in 4 remake.

I just can't get excited for this.

We really haven't seen enough of this to really know anything. It's been so bizarre to me that they've been showing what they've been showing.

Pretty much only have shown the intro. Childhood Trauma leads to FBI Agent. Gets sent to investigate an obvious setup based on said Trauma and gets kidnapped and taken to an abandoned Hospital in Raccoon City. Seems like a strong start to me.

Too many hurr hurr where is Leon why no combat game bad when it's much too early to understand the scope of the game.

I'm certainly curious enough. Which helps of course.

Fucking boring ass trailers, not touching this shit until I see something of actual substance, don't care about spoilers. RE games aren't that deep or interesting to be holding back.

"Follow mom" and the tiny bit with the lighter we've already seen - that's the only gameplay they show?!

Luckily for Capcom I'm day one for this because it's Resi, but they're not giving a strong reason to buy from this trailer.

We got two good survival horror this year and RE9 coming Feb so it's not all that long wait.
Quite a few indie horror games this October as well. RE9 in Feb. Some more indies peppered out in 2026 which will eventually lead to Fatal Frame 2 Remake. Survival Horror fans eating good.

It will be fascinating to see someone compare the trailers.
Here you go. They have incorrectly tagged it as PS5, as it is actually PC footage (though likely console equivalent settings). I know these guys are not welcome on GAF, but I checked the footage and comparisons. Seems legit.

Why is she hotter with the hair with no AA?

Resident Evil 2 Remake was excellent though and it's so different from the original it's almost a brand new game.
Nah dude, it was a mediocre remake like all of them. Especially with the missing A/B scenarios and zap system.
It was also a mistake mixing everything up into one playtrough. All the boss fights are the same, no matter with whom you start.

Gone are also the different encounters with Ada and Annette along with their different endings. Also it was a big mistake thowing mrx into the first playtrough.
