Since the game surprisingly is pretty based, and there is no push or force twisted woke agenda particularly twisted gender ideology, the game deserves the success. And most of all SP fired that sick mind employee.

The game itself is a bit better than everyone thinks.

I had decided to skip but ended up buying after my bro got interested.

They did enough motions when the shit went down that I was okay with it.

I still think they killed a lot of hype for the game by picking that main character/VA, but the actual game part of all this is solid. I think if they had announced it was an AI voice it would have left me less deflated, but que sera, sera. Game itself is good so far.

My only complaint(so far) is the "drawing" on the little dual sense mousepad is not a minigame and isn't fun to anyone and seems to be used a lot, but that's really a nitpick.

We eating good.

I don't even.... can there be at least one person who reports actual numbers?
you got to pay the big bucks to get access to numbers, we should be thankful that we received concrete data from Spain and estimates from Famitsu.

But instead, people tend to shit on both reports.

Also, this bodes well for the game, similar numbers to Tsushima (Digital + Physical) in Europe it's good.

It seems that is down in Japan but could be up in the US.

i agree with what others've said: imo, it's the best sequel of the big 5 sony developer titles (despite any lack of sales / critical praise). i actually prefer it to tsushima, which's surprised me...

that said, i still hope sucker punch moves on to something new rather than go for a trilogy...

This doesn't tell us much.

'In-line' in terms of attachment rate? In terms of sales? Digital? Physical? Combined?
these reports are always combined, you can notice from the fact that they make sure to mention that digital data for nintendo-published stuff is unavailable
"Biggest since Spiderman 2...."

Yotei is Sony's first AAA game since Spiderman 2, though.

this year we got 2 grounded medieval games set in Japan and next year we also got 2 similar fantasy medievil JP theme games, Onimusha and Nioh 3. Not to mention all the ninja games we got this year like Shinobi, NG2B, NGR, and NG4. Crazy time

That's a little surprising given how absolutely terrible their marketing made it look. Reads like their marketing team just completely dropped the ball, because all of the player response I've seen has been extremely positive. Good for Sucker Punch; hope they continue to make excellent games!

Attention.

We all have our biases. He vaguely implied Veilguard was doing well too. When it came out the game didn't do well he was like "I was hoping it would do well so we get more." 🤷
I see. He's gonna get attention either way though. People are hungry for sales numbers!

These charts cover physical and digital game sales across Australia, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, French Guiana, French Polynesia, Germany, Guadeloupe, Italy, Martinique, Netherlands, New Caledonia, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Reunion, Russia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the UK.

It covers all physical game sales, but digital game sales from these companies: Activision Blizzard, Bandai Namco, Capcom, CI Games, Crystal Dynamics, Disney Interactive, Eidos, Electronic Arts, Gameforge, IO Interactive, Konami, Marvelous, Microsoft, Milestone, MyGames, Nacon, Plaion, Saber Interactive, Sega, Sony, Square Enix, Supermassive Games, Take-Two, Tencent, Ubisoft, UsTwo. Warner Bros, Wizards of the Coast and Zenimax Media.

Good to hear because it's excellent, easily my game of the year.

As others have said though, the whole marketing team needs to be fired, what an absolute shitshow pre-launch.

Can definitely see this having good legs too given the great word of mouth.

Nah, my tagging is only about love, never be mad.

It basically is the only first party game since SM2.

Hmmm. That doesn't make too much sense to me to be honest.
My first thought was maybe he's taking about jist ps5 sales. But this is gsd data so it should include pc.

Perhaps Helldivers 2 explosive sales came from outside Europe.

That's up to publishers. Dring is trying his hardest to spin flat numbers as a W though.

Eh? its absolutely a win to compare favorably with a title sold when the PS4 install base at release was significantly higher than the PS5 install base right now.

Helldivers 2 was an AAA game that released after Spiderman 2.

Helldivers 2 isn't first party?
