If politics THAT matters, Black Myth:Wukong will be boycotted day one cuz goverment connections,But I don't think anybody on GAF really urged us not to buy it

But at this point, that's like saying don't buy anything from Walmart, don't use PPE during covid, and don't use a lot of our medications.

Uninterested from the start. It looks like another safe sequel from Sony. I platinumed the first, it was okay, but it felt more than enough. I'm already bored with this franchise as I am with Sony and Playstation in general. They have been so mid this generation. Also incredibly bad taste not leaving a statement addressing the recent events. A thing like that makes me also not wanna touch the game. It's tainted from bad pr and controversy.

Simply being a Chinese developer isn't going to matter for a lot of people considering the fact that so many of the products we buy come from China. You might as well urge people to not buy cell phones so that's an unrealistic take all around.

First game bored me by the middle of act 2. Was never interested in this one since it seems to be just more of the same, but somehow worse.

I've pre ordered it from someone from ebay with a discount voucher and I did it so long ago I cant cancel it, so im day one.

Ill blast through it on Pro and then sell it.

Going to wait for reviews. I really enjoyed the first game but didn't finish it. It kind of got repetitive on the second island/act, and another game took over my attention.

Despite enjoying the original I have no interest in this one, nothing they have shown has peaked my interest.
And recent events makes zero difference to that, it's just icing.

The first was a snooze fest, with shallow mechanics and an uninteresting world.
Jin was the most gormless looking Samurai ever.
Full of open world design tropes.
I've no idea how I stayed awake long enough to Platinum it.
The second looks largely the same, probably will have those awful Haiku things again too.
Wasn't interested in the sequel to begin with, but recent events have left a sour taste, cementing my decision to pass this up.
Sucker Punch should concentrate on a new Sly game instead.

Fuck no.

Every member of that studio seems to be vile. Even disregarding that fact, the game just looks subpar and unimaginative, just don't see the appeal at all.

Not interested. Tsushima was satisfying enough, I don't feel the need for a more of the same sequel.
Current events don't affect me.
If I was going to boycott a product or company because of the opinion of a single worker I wouldn't be able eat or drink anything that was manufactured or mass distributed or be able to use any service.

I liked the first one. Same with PS4 Sony games. Horizon, GoW, etc. this gen just felt like more of the same, but with tons of boring bloat. This game looks like more of that. The gameplay videos do not look good. I am also tired of open world games that involve sneaking into small bases and taking out braindead AI that doesn't even notice when you slaughter their buddies 2 feet away if their back is slightly turned. I also don't like the recent political postings from the employees at Sucker Punch. This is an easy skip.

Not interested,at first glance when first trailer was shown i was engaged but after full gameplay reveal i was disappointed by last gen graphics, dummy npc behavior, and generic revenge plot i suppose

I'm not really interested as I'm sure it's just more of the same. I don't base my purchasing decisions on one developer standing on their soap box and making an absolute twat of themselves.

No, they aren't discussing banning it because the dev said something hateful, they're discussing boycotting because the dev got fired, go figure.
Oh, just like the purple forum said they were boycotting Hogwarts Legacy, but then people on it were found playing it (including a mod I believe too) on Steam until people learned you could hide games in your library.

People can buy whatever game they want, it's just entertainment, and if you don't want to because of the company that's fine too. I personally was hoping the game would do a bit more new, and I'll probably just wait until it's cheaper later.

It's hilarious that Shadows came out on top in almost every way.

Better graphics. Better looking combat. Got there first with the same premise. No bloodthirsty devs on the staff roll. Ubisoft delayed the game to address historical inaccuracies. Quickly removed culturally insensitive content.

It's high time we apologise to Yves.

Graphics, yeah, but I much prefered the combat of Tsushima to Shadows. In fact, everything about Tsushima was better than Shadows outside of graphics, imo.

I have no doubt the combat in Yotei will be better than Shadows.

Combat in Shadows is terrible. TERRIBLE.

'Tallest midget'. But maybe.

Okay sure I'll indulge you: explain how us guys turned into Era. Spare no detail.
The problem with ERA is not being woke, but being intolerant to other opinions. I have no problem in arguing with woke people, unless they call me names or threaten me.

Folks have been discussing the woke or not woke aspects of this game for months now. Era would have banned those who criticized it for being woke. So no.
It has nothing to do with this game.

It's the absolutely pathetic display in the discussion surrounding the death of Charlie Kirk and how "terrible" it is that some people were cheering.

You guys literally went Woke fullstop.

And just like Woke, you're completely in denial.

Separating the art from the artist is a healthy attitude, especially when the art is comprised of the effort of hundreds if not thousands of people and you are almost assured to have differing-to-abhorrent world views for a percentage of those people. So the bigger the team, the more likely is that some of those members will be distasteful. Social media giving everyone a voice and internet anonymity rapidly shrinking, it's become increasing difficult not to notice those distasteful views and will naturally be associated with whatever that team is working on. I wouldn't judge anyone for being swayed one direction or the other regarding purchasing said product. You do you, as they say.

That ain't about being woke/not woke. That's about being a decent human being. You don't think it is "terrible" that people were cheering Charlie Kirk's death?
