Bought the 4 TB memory extension for Xbox Series ahead of Black Friday (price was too good, €429).
Should keep me afloat until Xbox Magnus :messenger_grinning:

McCammon was my jam back in the day! Loved Stinger.

Another horror book I'm thinking of getting into for next year is Blackwater by Michael McDowell. I've been looking for the physical but everyone of them I do find has been overpriced. There's been a lot of booktubers saying how good the book is. I guess I'll read it on Kindle

On the subject of books - got myself an e-reader again for Black Friday (Kobo Libra Colour). I sold my Kindle in May and since then didn't read much so I decided to remedy the situation.

Unfortunately I'm sticking to reading on my Kindle app. I have too many books on it. I do have the Kobo app but I hardly use it. Whenever Humble Bundle has deals on books, I transfer those purchases to my Kobo app. I'm very unhappy with the recent changes Amazon did to Kindle but that's the unfortunate consequence of having no competition in that space, which is they start to be more anti consumer as time goes on

It's fucking amazing.

All of Michael McDowell's work is.

Download both Blackwater and The Elementals and read them both ASAP. Then read his other work.

There's an alternative universe out there somewhere where McDowell lived and rightfully became more popular than Stephen King.

He also wrote both Beetlejuice and Nightmare Before Christmas

I missed the deadline to transfer the books from Kindle to my PC, had over 150. I would probably never read them again, but still + Amazon shitty practices regarding royalty payments in exchange for exclusivity made me go for a different reader. It helps that Kobo is fucking amazing after 10 years with a Paperwhite.

Just download them from lib or any other various outlet, you paid for a copy to place where you wish there's nothing to feel bad about artist wise you already did the right thing. This is the problem with the digital future..

I got the large kindle for myself recently (never bought a book from Amazon) calibre only. But jeeze the larger size, I'll never go back. So much easier on the eyes and find myself reading more than ever.

Gun Gaf may appreciate this :
I bought a Smith and Wesson CSX-E series.
This is my 2nd pistol purchase (1st one is a Springfield SA-35 aka a Browning Hi Power clone).

Pretty much a newbie to the shooting world but I've been gravitating to range shooting. Still need some free time to shoot it but can't wait.

I've been looking at the compact pistols for a while and I tried the Sig P365 and Springfield Hellcat. Both are great but this called out to me. I'm use to hammer fired pistols from growing up so that probably has something to do with it.

Not really that new, maybe 2 weeks now by this point? I bought an ASUS ROG Flow Z13 along with a 2 TB SD card. Can't believe how capable this thing is. Well, I guess it should be considering how expensive it is. I'm running GPT OSS 120b locally on a tablet and getting 50 tokens per second. I'm getting 80+ FPS on MH Wilds in 1600p medium settings, I'm playing Crusader Kings 3 with no slowdown, all in the form factor of a tablet. My only real complaint is the horrendous battery life but if I'm just using it for productivity stuff or media consumption, the 6+ hours is more than enough. The thanksgiving break is a nice first run for my intended use case for it which was am all-in-on portable from when I'm traveling and I'm not disappointed. Watched like half a season of King of the Hill when my flight got delayed, played some Balatro on the touchscreen, and played choose your own adventure with LM Studio.

Bookstore here lets you fill a grocery bag full of books for TREE FIDDY.

Got me some a lot of chapter books, broseph.

Gonna read these first.

What can I say, I love kids books. Especially ones that don't to "write down" to a child's level.

I just read the fourth Indian in the Cupboard book and it was awesome.

Yes, there were The Indian in the Cupboard sequels. 4 of them.

Well I hope Kobo turn into a actual competitor to Kindle where they start stealing profits. That would force Amazon to actually compete and take back lot of their anti consumer practices in regards to Kindle but that's just a pipe dream on my part

I wish they made the new accords look as good as the civics. I hate the look of the previous model civics and the current accord back-end ruined it's look. These new civics look so much better. Too bad I bought a truck before these existed.
I wish Honda sold the Accords in the UK!

The time has come for me to upgrade my basement projector. Very excited for this one as I have been with the same BenQ 4k projector since 2019, and this new one has all the bells and whistles.

Bought Witcher 3 Complete Ed PS5 for $7.99 on sale at PlayStation.com. Never played it or even paid attention to anything in the franchise until now.

I'd like to get our household a cpl of HK VP9SKs. Shot a few hundred rounds out of one and love it.

This was kind of an impulse buy fueled by all the doom and gloom in the pc market, should still be a nice upgrade from my asus laptop.

Gonna be a fun evening(weekend?) setting this up.

It's a money clip for a front pocket wallet.

A stand for dinner plates.

Foot rest attachment for something.

Still don't know what the fuck this is

Its actually a Roli Airwave

Its a clever little gadget that allows you modulate music whilst you write it AND look like an asshole at the same time. Not that I need help with the latter, however sometimes its good to accentuate the point
