Monitoring the situation in Iran

Article:
Recent options presented to President Trump reportedly go beyond those provided in the past, including the potential for American Forces to carry out commando raids on nuclear sites inside Iran. This plan would involve secretly sending in U.S. Special Forces to destroy or badly damage parts of the Iranian nuclear program not already damaged in last June's bombing by B-2A "Spirit" Strategic Long-Range Stealth Bombers flown from the United States.

Trump should look at all these options and say yes. Iran's military capabilities should be 100% obliterated.

I never understood why MAGA keeps referring to Obama with his full name, is it because oooo scary foreign sounding name??
Because his Islamic heritage is noteworthy in the context of the point I was making (a deal made with an Islamic regime). Whether that Islamic heritage is merely incidental to his making such an advantageous deal for an Islamic regime, or a direct contributing factor in that decision, people can decide for themselves.

Whatever the case may be, Americans are now having to contend with -and are possibly about to run the risk of being killed by- missiles Iran was able to buy as a result of that deal.

Any truth to the rumour that the Ayatollah flew out from Iran yesterday on a flight to Moscow?
I think the rumor is that the one who flew was on of the chief protester executioners.

I never understood why MAGA keeps referring to Obama with his full name, is it because oooo scary foreign sounding name?? Aren't all your ex presidents still called President such and such?
Scary? Lol. Nah, it is just mocking him as it is that running joke about being a muslim + Saddam Hussein. If you are talking about news station.

The Iranian regime deserves to burn (not Iranians) for their obsession getting nukes; constant murder of their own population; funding of terror regionally while 30% of their citizens starve.

But the Saudis are just as bad. They fund extremism in the west and look at the state of Yemen, they're equally to blame.
Saudis and Qatar continue to get a free pass.

The Qataris need to be held accountable for the absolute fucking disaster that is Sudan, the militias they're bankrolling are committing some proper evil shit, that entire region is absolutely devoid of any human decency

Come on man don't post stuff like this without a source.

helps?

Sorry I don't have X.

I remember when the US killed a war criminal Sulejmani, the pro hamas supporters in US (the leftist) protested in solidarity of the Iran regime. Will they do the same now if Trump attacks Iran?

If i would bet, it would be on tomorrow or next weekend. I doubt the US would attack in open market days.

Considering what happened with Venezuela, brent will probably spike a good 10-15% more.

Because they are still building up forces. 😲

Sometimes I think its hard to truly under stand the size of the US military.

Well and it is only a part of it, but still the build up has a lot of USA forces. Not sure how much in % though. Like 60% in one place? If the attack happens every country in the world is going to observe it with interest.

Would be lame if nothing happens though.

IRGC commanders and base personnel must be absolutely fucking bricking it, the first sign they'll have that shits about to go down is a couple of 1000lb bombs hitting them out of the blue

A lot of IRGC commanders must have cashed in their pension and took early retirement recently.

The first thing any of these guys are going to know something is happening is when all communications go down and all hell breaks lose.

Front man for Iran said they are back at the negotiations table while Trump is skeptical.

You keep posting in detail about the complexity and volatility of the socio-political fabric of Iran and about how it seems nearly impossible that an external strike without boots on the ground could lead to any sort of stabilization.

Why the change of heart?
Not a change of heart, but at one point I want to see some action. In one or other direction. They cannot wait forever.

The longer they wait, the more time to prepare, more weapons to stockpile, more ways to hide or escape.

No wonder almost all Arab countries now refuse to receive Palestinian refugees.
For the last few decades, every country that received them, got into major internal problems due to them.
But for some idiotic reason, western countries think they can control these extremists.

In the short term, the US can send in more assets and Iran can't really scale up its firepower to match. If six B-52's land in Diego Garcia that's a lot more firepower than Iran produces in a week. Their missile program was hit pretty hard, they probably can churn out dozens of Shahed drones every day but those can not really strike back in a meaningful way.

At some point the US will have everything in position it possibly can, it feels a bit like Trump is hesitant to act, wants more and more stuff to be absolutely sure nothing will go wrong and just maybe the Irianian regime will collapse before. If it everything is in position there is little else to do but attack, you cannot leave such a force in place for long.

The sheep – They are not given individual names or personalities. They show limited understanding of Animalism and the political atmosphere of the farm, yet nonetheless, they are the voice of blind conformity[38] as they bleat their support of Napoleon's ideals with jingles during his speeches and meetings with Snowball. Their constant bleating of "Four legs good, two legs bad!" is used as a device to drown out any opposition or alternative views from Snowball, much as Stalin used hysterical crowds to drown out Trotsky.[41] Towards the end of the book, Squealer, the propagandist, trains the sheep to alter their slogan to "Four legs good, two legs better!", which they dutifully do.

Because US involvement worked so well in Chile, Iraq, Venezuela, Afghanistan…
Germany, Japan, South Korea say hi.

I like how people are bringing only negative examples in attempt to prove their point. And it is always the same argument (often liberal or european one): "Yeah you might not like your government, but boo hoo but changing it might make matters worse so deal with it". All the bad and good examples only show that you can't change the society - so when USA and others did not try to establish the democracy, everything worked out pretty well. Nowadays liberals would have told to get rid of japanese emperor for example. SK was a dictatorship for quite some time too. All other countries returned to a status quo they operated for ages. Afghanistan literally has not changed its ways over centuries.
