Crimson Desert sells 3 million

Noice Thats Nice GIF

crimeson desert sounds like a dlc to saints row that's trying to be nifty

Thats amazing news, it means those initial 2m sold copies announcement wasnt just one and done, 3m sales makes game definitely already profitable, maybe not huge success yet, that will defo come with future 4 and 5m sold copies achievments which are almost certain at this point :messenger_smiling_hearts:

It probably means the game already made 210$ million in revenue. Take 30% for the platform holders, and that leaves 150 Million.
So it's likely the game has already covered it's cost of development and is already generating profits.

Cool beans. It's been sitting at the top of the sellers list on Steam even when it was getting hammered in reviews. Haven't looked today though.

Been (mostly) loving my time with it.

Its a great roam around waste your time game like ACs. Good for them.
This is what Dragons Dogma 2 success should have looked like.

also, CRIMEson ? lol

The game budget should be 220 mil.

The more I play it the better it gets. Which is a sentiment I keep seeing over and over again.. which tells me they should really redo the initial 3 hours of the game lol

So, game gets decent reviews/scores and the shares...drop? Now game gets amazing first week sales and shares...?

I clearly don't understand stock market logic

We are grateful to share Crimson Desert has sold through 3 million copies worldwide. To everyone who has stepped into Pywel and shared this journey with us, thank you. Your feedback continues to help shape the experience, and we will keep working to make the journey ahead even more enjoyable for our players.

I didn't think Requiem would be usurped by a game for GoTy so quickly but here we are. It's amazing.

Also, you gotta wear a mask before becoming John Crimeson.

Asian investors surely are not aware of the insane culture war in the West, they legitly believe that if a game reviews bad or mediocre it's because it's bad, people will trust media and won't buy the game.

The current state of affairs is absolute lunacy that nobody outside the gaming bubble would understand but here we are.

And just you wait for the history rewritting, which I predict in about 12-18 months. The same media that rated this a 7 will say the game is great after the patches.

They hit that hype just right huh. It's all timing and a little bit of luck can make even the most mediocre game sell a lot.
Apparently, I don't get it. I'm happy for people that do though. The game always looked like "throw spaghetti at the wall" the game. Which I guess is pretty accurate with those "previous employees" coming out basically saying random things were being added that didn't even make sense all through development, lol. "Hey, we like that, we add that." Without any of it being cohesive with other gameplay decisions, mechanics, etc.

I may eventually check it out due to curiosity when it drops in price in the far future, but personally I can't imagine paying full price plus for a title like this.

Its a better game than Dragons Dogma 2. Make of that what you will.

I'm actually happy for them, I just hope they fix all the shit that's wrong with it.

No shot. Dragon's Dogmas combat and enemies are so much better than this game. This game has a better world, and that's about the beginning and end of it.

You have to play this man, the game is worth the launch price a 100%. One thing is the impressions you get when watching some gameplay in youtube, another is to experience the game yourself. Trust me this game is good

I got absolutely nothing out of DD2, lol. So, for me, anything is better than DD2. So, I believe it, but for me that probably isn't saying much either, lol.

I'll likely give it a shot when it goes on sale, I haven't completely written it off, and that won't change.

Wrong beliefs versus reality. People who actually play the game say the opposite, which means that you are choosing to buy a narrative that reinforces your initial assumption instead of actually getting reliable info of what the game is like.
