Like I said. The frozen assets will pay for it as it will be the war damages. russia is never getting that back.

And I agree with you, we can do more.
While insignificant in the larger picture I donate each month, be it to finance vehicles for the front or electric generators.

The frozen assets will not be used as they will chicken out again for the same reasons. China will pull investment out. Not going to risk it's assets being frozen. China explicitly said for Europe not to use those assets and considering Europe is trying to move away fron the US to China there is a 99% chance those assets won't be used. Europe needs to match the money that Russia receives from exports which is primarily oil and gas. It's around 400 billion dollars.

It makes no difference if the war is over. Belgium blinked due to financial repercussions not Russian threats. China along with other countries made it quite clear it would undermine its banking system and would reassess their holdings. That would still be the case after the war. They won't put anything in Belgian banks.

Yeah, there's no way Iran will fold. Learning from the Palestinians, they come to negotiations thinking they get what they want and there's nothing else. Arafat got 97% of what he wanted, still didn't sign peace.

I think article 5 mentions Europe and North America as "places" of attack so Islands near SA might not count (unless they are part of "Europe").

Argentine barely has an air force (a handful of block 15 F-16 + two dozens of A4's), barely has a navy (3 destroyers + a handful of frigates) and and the army is underfunded AF.

UK with a sub deployment on "short notice", a squad of EF-2000 already on the island and a contingent of troops can hold itself there.
