I always wondered--do 49ers fans give Singletary credit for anything? Was it really a case of him being a horrendous coach, or does he get a little credit for bringing some guys in? He seemed awful, but I haven't heard it explained by a 49ers fan.
I give him credit for straightening up v. davis. But any tough coach could have done that.

Damnit. Fuck the mod that did that and all the losers who quote things looking to get someone banned.

I got this. Outside of this thread, mine was the best of the year anyway. Hopefully bucket will send me the art!
I'm going to Suh you.

eznark, control your kids.

One of them's already banned, make sure the other one stays out of trouble.

Dont worry Ive already been disowned by eznark long ago, he don't give a shit. If I was his daughter I'd have already changed my name to Candy and found work on a pole.

that better not be ban-worthy

said he had to go out of the country for a while

Him and a select few Raiders fans are making the pilgrimage to David Bowie to ask for his assistance and powers to resurrect Al Davis.

Also, damn it Bucket. You knew better than to say anything smarky outside this thread!

Edit: Yea, pretty fucking dumb thing to get banned for. Some people need to lighten up over an internet forum comment that bares no real weight or significance

My little girl is one!

(I'm going to choose to ignore the rest)

If GAF wasn't link-whoring its posts to Kotaku, I doubt he would have gotten banned for that.

He'll be back soon, I got banned longer for telling people who were going "LOL Wii online" in the DQX reveal thread to shut the fuck up.

That thread is full of total wieners. One does not simply post in gaming.

Everyone here is a fan of video games though, I think the problem is, don't make a stupid post in gaming. We can get away with it in here because the mods let us but they take gaming more seriously.

Ready to make some bets with my friends. Since I'm lazy, anyone know where I can get a playoff bracket for the playoffs?

The number one seeds in each conference matchup against the lowest remaining seed though, so the bracket isn't exactly a bracket really.

Wow. Angelo gone. Martz gone. Lovie stays, though.
I was so happy to see about Angelo---I really don't feel like we need any re-structurting pe se, but he has never left me with a good impression. Martz leaving sucks nuts though. Oh well...not like we've been trying to draft and build our offense around his style. Time to re-start.

It's the truth. I was one of the whiners, whatever I didn't really give a shit either way. I didn't find it humorous that he was asking a guy to go kill himself evidently I missed that comedy class. Didn't want him banned either though. eznark makes better threads anyway.

agreed

Gaming side is dangerous.
The mods are inconsistent, you can get banned for agreeing with someone saying people like to bitch.
But someone telling you to fuck off is apparently just fine.

Eznark is a superior poster to pretty much everyone, though. So, that's not a knock on Buckethead.

LOL, I finally looked at the penalty called on the Bills for "Blocking the QB after an INT" (which only applies when the QB is away from the play, BTW):

Scroll down to "Barnett picks off Brady"

If this is not proof that officials have explicit instructions to protect Brady at all costs, I don't know what is. Brady is running around (ineptly) trying to make the tackle and is probably 3 yards from Barnett when he touched (I hardly call that a block). 15 yards, LOL

Im going to assume that you are not being sarcastic. During the Buffalo game, he started to look less sure of himself and started to hold on to the ball way too long. In the KC game it was even more apparent. This may help the Steelers, but I say take the shackles off and call a more well rounded offensive gameplan. If he gets going it will help his confidence, if he makes mistakes then he has to learn from them. If he can't make the throws then it will be something to work on. To be honest I would let him throw every down as long as the game is close. Mix in a run here and there to keep them guessing. I might sound crazy but they need to build some passing rhythm otherwise the run is way too predictable and not effective.

The KC game was horrible in terms of holding onto the football. He just wasn't pullling the trigger at all. I guarantee over the last week he basically had it drilled into his head that his primary thing to worry about was not to turn the ball over. Which is shame, because he has been playing scared now for two weeks now and that is going to lose games in the NFL period. It almost feels like he's taken 3 steps back now.

I wonder if the Bears are going to make a move for the Polians now. Not a long trip at all from Indy to Chicago. This might mean Lovie stays long term, too. The Polians helped build a winner with Tony Dungy, and Lovie is his best protege. So there would be familiarity.

Ruskell better not get the GM job. Now the big question is the OC position.

Bears have a press conference at 4PM central today talking about what has gone down today.

I understand the desire and need to protect QBs as franchise players, but this year has become ridiculous. Even the whole - can't go low against a QB is such a stupid rule. Especially when a player is knocked to the ground and blocked forcing him to scramble on his knees at a QB (like the call against KC vs Tebow this past week which even as a Broncos fan I have to admit was a horrid, horrid call).

There needs to be some serious balance discussions in the offseason to determine if these rules really are in the best interest for the league as a whole...

Matt Millen is an obvious fit. Short drive from Detroit to Chicago.

I'm getting hyped with all this Texans talk!

crickets*

:(

Seriously, I think all this no talk/bad talk will be good for the team. Things will either go bad as predicted, or we'll beat SOME odds.
I just hope AJ can make round 2.

wait a minute. so you're telling me either the texans will win OR lose against the bengals!? i'll avatar bet you on that brah!

The Polians built the house of cards that collapsed w/out Manning, no thanks. Pretty sure Bill's son was running the team the last 2-3 years.

Holy shit

New play: Brady pitches the ball to halfback and rolls right to lead block. Runs into guy. Automatic 15 yards. It's literally unstoppable.

lol man that sucks for chargers fans. might as well jump ship. if your owner isn't interested in winning, what exactly does being a "real" fan get you?
