Excellent. I have money ball coming in today from Netflix. Read the book twice. I have Tree of Life sitting at home, I'll get around to that this week.

Effzee: After Spags, we promoted Bill Sheridan to DC, he was awful. Got rid of him after a year and hired Perry.

Yeah I forgot his name but you guys realized your mistake right away and fixed it. Fewell's shortcomings have more to do with injuries than actual scheme problems IMO. And if Fewell hadn't panned out I am sure you guys would have fired him right away too.

Reid just came back from his one week vacation. You know to get a clear head. They have to replace the personnel guy that became the Colts GM and decide on the staff now. Watch him keep Juan Castillo. A part of me thinks good keep him let it blow up in your face again so maybe just maybe Lurie decides to fire him. I wonder if Colts hire Marty to be their HC now.

I still haven't seen that.
Worth watching the original Swedish film which is on Netflix. It's very, very good. Rapace is fantastic as Lisbeth. She'll be starring in Prometheus next.

And Fincher is my favorite director. =(
Alien 3 yay or nay? I have a soft spot in my heart for the movie. Terribly flawed but I can't help but like it. Even studio controlled Fincher is too good.

Oh and I absolutely fucking love Zodiac.

Joe and Evan trying their best to bait Antrel today on his spot with some Vernon Davis quotes. He didn't bite. Funny moment where he acknowledges his constant "at the end of the day" line. He changed it up to "when all is said and done" to a good laugh from both hosts. Good stuff.

Yeah I was listening, it was really funny. I've really warmed up to Rolle this season, he's been a terrific leader and his last few games have been his best here.

Because Flacco is decidedly not awesome and their receivers are average and have no consistent deep threat. Boldin is awesome but slow as shit, Lee the Legend disappears for months at a time and Torrey sometimes struggles with his non-go routes, which makes him tough for a static-statue like Flacco to target.

Yeah they really need to get someone who is able to get some separation. But even though talent wise they're not the the Saints or Packers they certainly are not so bad to have so many awful performances offensively.

Oh btw. Go Niners :D

To be fair to the Flaccos, part of it is scheme as well. Maybe they have the potential to be more explosive, but they don't want to risk turnovers. When you have a dominant defense and are playing against shitty teams like the Bengals and Steelers, you don't need to take chances. Let the game come to you.

How come for all the Tim Tebow talk no one has brought up that besides being a bad quarterback, he's also a bad Christian? Every week he's sinning when he goes out with his shitty arm and hurls inaccurate, uncatchable passes each Sunday. I know I'm not exactly breaking ground by saying that some people pick and choose or are hypocritical with religion, but it's not like it is some obscure Bible passage that no one follows, it's a Commandment. It's higher than murder on the list. I'm pretty sure it's not "Keep the Sabbath holy, unless you play a recreational activity for money, then fuck what I have to say, it's cool bro."

That's why he prays all the time on the field and sings jesus songs in pre game warm up. I don't think the commandment says "keep the sabbath holy by sitting on your ass and doing nothing all day"

Just keepin' it Holy, yo

I am planning to re-watch "North Dallas Forty" and "Any Given Sunday" after the championship games are over and before the SB. In my opinion ND40 is the more realistic of the two.

My "concern" would just be that their best defensive players certainly aren't getting any younger* so they need to get their offense going to keep up.

Winning games with just a good D isn't exactly easy with all these new rules.

*Which reminds me that I said that about their D like 5 years ago. Amazing that Lewis and Reed still are that dominant.

The F***?

How is Blind Side on the list but Any Given Sunday or The Replacements is not?

I think we'll be surprised at how competent (as opposed to awful) the offense will be in the coming years as they need to take chances. Of course, Evans and Boldin aren't exactly young either....

Being lectured on religion by a Pats fan is like Wellington telling me how to take care of my laptop.

They are lower down on the list. Rankings are based on user ratings. Seems to me the G & PG rated are at the top. I like it because it lists 50 movies and in various sports, not because I agree with rankings.

Can somebody explain to me why people look at Friday Night Lights and say its good?

I've only read the book but that played out more like a horror story.

fuck you fatman and friends

Philbin and Clements to interview in Tampa this week. Ugh, losing Clements would really, really hurt.

Just off the top of my head, there really is no football film on the same plateau as the other major sports.

I'm still convinced Radio was a comedy.

Actually, where the fuck is Rudy?

The Program should be on there.

Definitely. The Program is 100x better and 10000x more realistic than AGS.

North Dallas Forty is easily the best non-NFL Films football movie ever made. It's not even close.

The opening scene where Nolte gets out of bed creaking and cracking and shuffling around is far too accurate.

"Gonna get in a pile. Knee deep!" best orgy line ever.

NDF is as good as anything any other sport has, save possibly Mystery, Alaska!

Was Aspen Extreme a sports movie? That was pretty good. I remember watching late at night on cable as a child assuming it would be a titty movie, then it got sort of serious at one point.

whoa, 1993, must be remembering wrong.

I have nothing to contribute, but that won't stop me from posting.
